Lebrun was talking about a Makar offer sheet. But now that the Kings traded their 3rd round pick in 2022, the kings would not be a potential team making an offer. 4 1sts would be too great a price so I don't see the kings doing that.

If I had guarantees that all the picks would be outside the top 8 I would do it, Makar is that good.

But look what happened to San Jose, they ended up having a terrible year when Ottawa had their 1st and missed out on a guy with a 100 point ceiling. It would be the most Kings thing ever to have Doughty or Makar get injured in 2023 and then win the lottery to see Bedard go to the Avs.

All a moot point though, Colorado would find a way to match any offer.
