i think that was a good slash on a soft spot, it doesn't make you jump, do a 180 and lose control of both legs though

i just wish they called that stuff a slash and an embellishment instead of letting it go

That was a nothing tap. Weber may have gotten the 'right spot' I guess, but Kucherov doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. He's basically Mike Ribeiro at this point.

he got hit in the back of the knee. Anyone would go down there.

He gets zero benefit of the doubt from me when it comes to being hurt.

He went down like he was shot, tried to get the call and then remembered he was on the power play and magically was fine.

I didn't see him jump, and I absolutely think that slash would send you to the ice.

NHL thought it was worthy of a fine too.

No wonder he was out for the entire regular season. He broke his foot trying to put his skates on.

Man RNH just took less to stay in Edmonton. 8 years $5.1M with a full no move.
That $40.8M, I think he could have gotten that over 6 or 7 years as a UFA. Good deal for the Oilers IMO.

The man got paid either way. Man , Bernstein is going to be so whiny about this deal and probably be complaining how Blake could've offered more but didn't [even though he wasn't an UFA yet].

It took the official several seconds to decide that it was embellishment, too. You'll notice a long delay between his arm going up--obviously the smith slash--and the whistle the play dead--coincidentals with possession. Just gross negligence.

Brown took an absolute beating that series and kept giving it back. This is the dirtiest play imo and it didn't get much of a look even though Hanzal was CLEARLY hunting that entire time, down 3-0 in the waning minutes of a game where he was already pissed

RNH really has no pressure in Edm. He's not going to be the guy, or the 2nd guy. If they ever find a way to get some real depth, RNH will be the beneficiary of it. And if you're going to hook your career to someone, it might as well be McDavid. Would he realistically find a better place to go?
So, you're saying RNH is a Mcdisciple? Which one?

EDIT: Had to change it to Mcdisciple.

Thanks for reminding me of how much I hated Hanzal. Now that f***er was a dirty piece of shit. Funny how Coyotes fans accused Brown of being dirty, yet turned a blind eye with Hanzal and Torres, or that diving diva Mike Smith.
The Coyotes were pretty dirty that year. They also had Raffi Torres who got suspended for that hit on Hossa.

So I guess you can now be on a non-playoff team ,but score all z pointsz then win the Norris. We've entered a new era boys. Honestly, not really counting this award this season when you only need to defend against 7 teams and can pile up points along the way. .

I couldn't disagree more. Adam Fox is a phenom and has been an instant star from the second he stepped on the ice in the NHL. This was well deserved and I suspect it won't be his last Norris.

While i don't completely disagree , the kid is good...but no playoff, no awards. You can't be the best at your position when you don't make the playoffs and just pile up points on an average team.
