Man Minnesota seems to be doing pretty good in the draft.
Who do they have over there again?
whenever i think about him i hear this song in my head

There was always a question of the offensive upside on Pod.
Gezz that's a pretty nice pay day for a player like that. Nils has more goals in a season than he has had points.
contract status played a major role on draft day, he still had two years remaining on his deal with SKAThere's a reason he was falling on draft day, and we certainly found why!
Won't know for sure til the kids who were drafted when he arrived make the nhl.Man Minnesota seems to be doing pretty good in the draft.

Yeah but Seider, Boldy, also returned to their amateur clubs for 2 more years. Most kids would not be nhl ready as a teenager.contract status played a major role on draft day, he still had two years remaining on his deal with SKA

But with the khl, they lean towards vets so lack of playing time also hurt. Again, nhl draft pick development depends on their club team for the 2-3 years post draft before they can play for the nhl organization at some level.
I don't watch a lot of Oilers hockey, but nearly every goal they allowed against Minnesota was due to an egregious defensive breakdown. There's just no way they don't shake something up soon.
Not a good look for the Hawks they need to get him some help.
Eh, I think they're a competitive team when they are playing well. But something is badly off and I think they will make a move soon.Their historically great (and totally sustainable) PK and defensive play they had in the playoffs will come back to them any minute now.
Its just taking a bit longer because of all the slugs that are now on their roster.

Karma for tanking( and anything else that organization has done that i won't get into). They traded away prime age talent like Debrincat and Dach to deliberately be as bad as possible. Now they have no good prime aged forwards to carry the load. If there is any franchise that deserves a Buffalo and Oilers playoff drought, it's them

If teams are paying 2.5-3M for 35 point players, caps are going to be really screwed. Not saying I don't want them to be paid, they deserve it but can't pay them all that. If Canucks had to pay Blueger, Sherwood, Suter all 2.5 a year, that's 3M less in cap space. It's a fine line.A versatile player that can play wing and C, move up and down the lineup, and chip in with some offense. I wonder if that sets the baseline for Suter next summer. $2.5m isn't bad, actually pretty fair for Suter, but I'm not sure if I want to go 5 years.
What was Hansen back in the day on his last contract with the Canucks at the same AAV?If teams are paying 2.5-3M for 35 point players, caps are going to be really screwed. The Blackhawks clearly expected Bedard to be a franchise player and prop up a shitty team like McDavid did during the mid-late 2010s.
The harsh reality is Bedard needs proper seasoning and will probably see his development get f***ed due to being on a pathetic shit team. His two-way play is suspect and he looks as awkward as Zegras does.
