The Steelers "fans" in the Penguins thread remind me of the folks in here that said they should cut Nix after two games. Half of them convinced the Steelers will lose every game remaining. All convinced it's all the coaches fault. Pretty epic and pretty funny too.

I'm not going to lie, I am a little worried about Nix when we play the Browns in 2 weeks. I know Pittsburgh doesn't have the best line, but those delayed blitz packages straight up punish quarterbacks. They'll also have a few extra days to rest up then the Broncos. I just hope we don't let Garrett take over the game. Same with this upcoming Sunday with Crosby. He was just coming back from injury last time and he still had a big day.

Valid concern. That's part of the reason why the Broncos are the NFC South champs, none of those teams have a pass rush.

You guys worry too much - we have Garrett Holds to hold maxx crosby - he won't get near Nix... and he'll set a new league record for holding penalties!!!

I wonder which team will take him. If someone could teach him how to read a defense, he could be very scary. But at this point of his career, I doubt that ever happens.

Man, he had a pretty decent start to his career didn't he?

Whatever, the Giants are, like, the most generic professional sports team to ever exist.
Very weird career so far. Always seems to be on the cusp of greatness, but makes the most critical of mistakes when the team can't afford it.

If he finds success with another team, the Giants owner needs to clean house.

Maybe the Broncos and Payton have motivated the Giants to do this. Before cutting Russ, it seemed no one would be crazy enough to eat over 40m in dead cap. Now I bet it happens a lot.

This will be the Niners if they give Purdy a massive deal.

Well first and foremost, he's got a VERY heavy forehand (lot of topspin) and the ball already bounces much higher on clay so it's incredibly hard to deal with over the duration of a match. On top of that, his movement and athleticism allow him to grind out points better than anyone in the world on a surface that is known for longer rallies.

Clay was always my favorite surface although you rarely ever play on it at the collegiate level.

Being lefty didn't hurt, either, esp as he could hit crosscourt high bouncers into the backhand of most opponents. Add it all to his grinder mentality, and that's what you got!

Rockies didn’t trade Quantrill nor Rodgers when they had value, and now they non-tendered both

I feel so bad for my nephew. He really go into baseball this last summer, and of course he started following the Rockies. But until the Monforts sell the team, there's really no point in fallowing the Rockies. They don't even feel like a team. Being at the game feels more like a dinner and a show, than a sporting event.
