Still could've won game 5 too if not for Galchenyuk having an stroke not even a minute into OT.
Or mikheyev making contact on that rebound at the end of the third period.

He was until he had his own stroke and backed his ass into price and mtl pp decided to wake up.Willy was so good too
We had a lot of strokes over those three games. That is why we lost.
We'd be fine if we could figure out how not to have a stroke.
LOL...what's with all these fitting words to describe the Leafs...stroke, joke, choke...even croak would work...or the cloak of invisibility for the Leafs stars down the stretch...![]()
I think it's stupid to cry after Tavares. It was plain bad luck and we should have sustained that, but saying that Tavares wouldn't have made difference? Come on, Habs added Caufield and Kotkaniemi, they made difference. You don't think two way ppg center wouldn't make difference for us. Tavares would have added matchup nightmare for Habs, even Nylander did that. Tavares would have magnified that even more.
I can see the line shuffling possibly having an impact, but Tavares, in his playoff career, and particularly with the Leafs, has been on the ice for more goals against than for. I'd be happy to have him reverse that trend, but based on his history, particularly in Toronto, we are better when he is not on the ice. His record suggests that he would have been a -4 in those last six gamesWell I do think tavares would have made a big difference, not just with his own play but the fact that leafs had to reshuffle multiple things to make up for that loss
scheiffle I don’t agree that it was a bad hit
Incredibly heavy hit yes but I agree with the jets coach, he went right through him, at the chest
And the fact that Habs player got hurt made it worse then it should have been but if U don’t think taking 2 top tier centres out of the lineup in the playoffs is a big deal then we do disagree then
Yep. We trounced those stupid Habs in every conceivable way, except for one obscure and totally meaningless statistic. I think it was something irrelevant like the number of games where they scored more actual goals.Great now we can all cling to this saying see - we should've beat Montreal, the series was more one sided than Tampa's !!
Every now and then I'm sitting at home and I remember we blew a 3-1 series lead against this garbage Habs team, and I get all pissed off again. I wonder if the Leafs think about it while they're playing golf or hanging out on yachts this summer
Nice strategy by the Habs. Put Vas to sleep and then score on their 3rd shot
Looks like they still have little bit of horseshoe up their asses...
