This series isn't competitive at all, but I'm enjoying seeing the Habs get owned. This is how VGK/MTL should have played out. I still can't figure out what the hell happened to the Knights; they played worse than TOR did against MTL.

Vegas' forwards had nothing going and their coach failed to make adjustments. Even so, they were 2 minutes away from going 2-1 in the series but MAF decided to help his childhood team. DeBoer also screwed up by not going back to Lehner in game 5.

Carey Price's hot streak is officially over. Even we could beat the Habs now, so would the Jets and Vegas.

Game 1: 0.815
Game 2: 0.870
Game 3: 0.828

Yikes. That's bad.

Vegas played two tough series while Habs beat a soft Leaf team and a Winnipeg team that never showed up. Clearly the Stanley Cup was won by Tampa over the Isles.

Palat absolutely murdered that 2 on 0. The panel is right. Price could have stopped that pretty easy.

Easily preventable. How did Price not just stick his paddle out and intercept the pass? Palat was basically at the goal line at that point.

Agreed. Hrudey mentioned that as well, he said you can't ever let a pass go thru the paint (crease).

Yup. I don't know if it's some sort of new goalie coaching technique, but it's not just Price that does this. I see it all over the league and shake my head. Goalies literally watching the puck sliding through the danger area with no reaction.

The Lightening should let Montreal win game 4 for the sole reason that game 5 will be in Tampa and the players can party and celebrate a real Stanley Cup victory.

They lacked playmaking save for a game when they dominated. Habs were able to shut them down pretty easily.

Tampa is just tenacious on the forecheck and have unreal depth.

Hamilton has a point though... if Tampa is in fact 18 million over the cap right now, then it really isn't a surprise they are rolling over their opponents.

I mean I do enjoy watching Montreal lose, but this really shows you just how far away we are from being a contender.

That's not true. I feel the Leafs are a lot closer to being Tampa than they are to being Montreal in this series.

No matter what you say about the Leafs. Yeah they're a bunch of chokers who have given up favourable series and game leads away but they don't get humiliated and swept like the Habs are about to do. They are in every series they play but just haven't gotten over that hump and won one.

We don't know what winning that first round will do to their confidence. Players will play with a lot less pressure on them and play freely.

I don't think Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander etc forget how to play in the playoffs. It just takes time. If we had won against Montreal, there could have been a redemption for players who had terrible series like Marner for example against the other teams.

Next season is big. It will tell us if the Leafs are a good defensive team now or not. We outplayed Montreal 6/7 games but did not have any luck. It's similar to what's happening to Montreal now who aren't playing horribly but Price has decided to become the Price we know from these past years at the worst time and they've run out of luck.

The Leafs need to take all the pain they've had in the past 5 years and channel it positively. What we've done is lose 5 straight coin tosses which sucks but hockey is random.

That loop hole will be sewn up before next season. It was a creative way to solve the problem, that’s what good GM’s do.

If the Leafs weren’t natural born losers this uncompetitive and unentertaining Final could’ve been avoided. Leafs vs Lightning in the semifinals, Islanders vs Golden Knights in the other. Even though the Leafs would lose a Lightning vs Islanders/Golden Knights Final would be a far better viewing experience than this buttf***ing Montreal is getting.

No way ... it's more fun to see Tampa beat them down when Habs are at home and they get swept.

Also had to laugh at this.

Yeah I know I'm being petty but I f***ing hate the Habs. I wish them zero success.

I usually think bad Karma, but I've seen enough of what Hab fans have been saying.

Leafs totally shit the bed once again and I hope that finally changes but that's doubtful... at the same time... Habs were 18th this year... probably same next year... difference is they wont be in then.

If Karma existed in the context of sports the Leafs would have at least one series win over the past 17 years. Instead we’ve just been constantly kicked while on the ground. f*** them, I wish nothing but the worst for them and their spoiled rotten selves.

Difference is we won’t be playing against Winnipeg - Edmonton for a playoff spot.
It will be Tampa - Boston - Florida and possibly teams like NYI - Carolina for wildcard.

I agree big time. This path was the easiest and they totally messed it up. Just adds to the bitterness that is still slowly fading.

It's definitely been the least interested I've ever been in the playoffs after the Leafs were out. Tampa winning again is fine considering what's happened. I mean they're a really great team... no arguing that... just brutal watching this and knowing Leafs couldn't get by the f***ing habs.

Lol I haven't said as much on here in a bit because talking Leafs lately has been tough... especially while this shit habs team goes on a run.

When Price is less then amazing this is what you get.

True... if karma worked in sports ... next year we should go 16-0 in the playoffs after watching this shit lol
