Everyone who traded with Vegas got absolutely reamed.

Going to be an interesting off-season for Pittsburgh.

Yeah, I don't even think they made a mistake from like a procedural point of view is the thing though. It's just played out the absolute worst way it could've played out for them.

Agreed, no one (except Vegas, I guess) saw Murray falling off a cliff in his mid-20's and Fleury hitting a new level in his mid-30's. All their trades look like 4D chess moves in hindsight and they were mocked incessantly over them at the time. Truly bizarre.

Based on whos left, if tampa makes it to round 3, we face them with home ice advantage.

Top seed: avs (1) vs knights (2)
Bottom seed: nyi (12) vs bruins (10)

Winners of those two series face each other

Leafs (6) vs Tbay (8)

Edit: leafs face the winner of canes vs tbay if both advance.
How crazy would it be if 3 of the 4 were Toronto, Boston and Tampa? The three headed Atlantic beast.

Islanders Bruins, two hard hitting enemy teams face off against each other and one has to go home. Not a bad deal. Hoping every game goes 3 OT's and the winner is exhausted for what lies beyond.

Was hoping the pens would drag on the series.

Florida was also my other hope for prolonged series.

Want the Leafs to close out a win tomorrow and someone to go game 7 triple overtime. I'll take every second of rest and advantage I can get.

It's garbage that even if the Leafs finish off the Habs in 5 they will likely get little to no rest time before the next round. Bettman is a f***ing moron for the delayed start

Florida deserved better then to lose in 6. If they didn't favor the veteran, they had a decent chance to win this.
Also a great season for the Wild even if they lose this game. They haven't made it easy on Vegas, all though I wouldn't mind seeing them pull off the upset.

It's looking almost certain that the leafs' 1st opponent if they make the final four will be from the central.

Only VGK and/or CAR choking up these 3-2 leads could mess that up now.

Looking back, that stupid Bennett hit in game 1 may have been the turning point. Panthers had just grabbed the lead and were all over them until Bennett's penalty. Tampa scores on the ensuing PP and ultimately win game 1.

Bennett suspended for game 2 and the Panthers couldn't score.

"We have a great core here, Leon and [Darnell Nurse], [Ryan Nugent-Hopkins], [Adam Larsson], these are guys that I've kind of grown up with and we want to see this thing through together and we want to do this thing right as a group," McDavid said.

Connor, YOU DON'T HAVE A CORE. That's the whole problem!

@zeke called it. Vegas Paper Knights are not very good but they get a lot of shots on goal and rely on Fleury to bail them out.

Hope they can somehow win this series and give Colorado somewhat of a fight before they lose.

Someone convince me that Colorado is not gonna win in less than 6 games next round.

Even if Vegas moves on and gets healthy, Colorado is just too damn good. I hope I'm wrong as I'd like to see 7 games between the two

Don't need convincing. Colorado is the only good team in that division.

They will stomp the Wild in 4-5 if they win against Vegas or 5-6 against Vegas.

Vegas and Minny are good teams but not elite.

The avs are elite.

The movement on that MIN PP makes ours look like complete amature hour... fantastic movement and every pass on the tape or to a recoverable space. LOVE IT!!
