Their goaltending has really let them down. What sucks is Vasilevsky has been far from stellar and Florida themselves have played well enough to win this series if they just had average goaltending.

Colorado wins their last 5 regular season games, win the Presidents Trophy, jump out to a 3-0 lead vs the big bad St. Louis Blues and outscoring them 15-5, dominant PP and seeing their leader Mackinnon score 7 points in 3 playoff games and Rantanen with 5 points in 3 games without missing Kadri for one second.

I feel like those are very clear signs that a young team is pushing to make a run. Not saying the Leafs won't do the same, or couldn't get further, but it is refreshing to see a quality team just consistently set the benchmark very high without talking about load management, blowing "nothing games" and getting wrestled to the mat by a trash Montreal team.

He had an .860 going into today... he gave up 5 goals on 22 shots in a game where Florida was the much better team but needed OT to win.

Both of their goalies have a sub .900 right now. Florida has arguably been better in all 4 games but they are down 3-1 because as much as people refuse to believe it, goaltending can affect an entire series.
