...why? At this point ONE series win for us will seem like a Stanley Cup achievement in itself... playing a motivated Jets team isn't even on my radar.

Leafs aside... I love watching Oilers getting tossed early. Playoffs are a different beast... one line is not going to carry a bottom feeder roster to a final.

I’m assuming you didn’t see their around the league thread but ya. They were more happy it hurt the Leafs than worried about what happened to Tavares.

The Jets are the second best team in our division. They just sucked really bad at the end of the year while EDM had McDavid, Smith and Draisaitl playing unsustainably well and winning games for them.

It had the making for a tight series but I think Winnipeg should have been seen as the favourites, assuming they could get out of that really bad slump while McDrai and Smith are not being gods. McDrai have fallen down to earth.

I just hope it doesn't happen to us and we even things up tomorrow.

this drives me insane.
just because it's the playoffs doesn't mean the rules should change. either it's a penalty, or it's not. and if it is call it - call it in the pre-season, call it in the regular season, call it in the playoffs. call it game seven, quad overtime in the cup final. what's the point of a rule book if you're gonna change it every time it suits your purpose.
