It really is sad to see Oilers fans flog the dead horse that is the Flames. Jeezus. Give it a rest. They are done. They have been done for months. The afternoon game today garnered pages in the out of town thread.

Man. I have no idea who to root for between the oilers and the jets. Both fan bases are toxic and smug. Can two teams lose a series?
Jet fans can just kind of be ass holes...which is fine. They are annoying. Oiler fans have the biggest persecution complex of any fanbase in hockey and it isn't remotely close. It is pathetic.

I so do NOT miss Kapanen on our team. Such a frustraiting player to watch, because he gets himself in great positions with the puck but rarely knows what to do with once he is there. That is money well invested elsewhere.

Flabergasted!! What in the holy hell?

I think I understand the thinking behind it. Usually when you go full regime change it can be quite an upheaval with unknowns and core pieces lost via discount and poor decisions. Happened to us so many times. When you have stability, sometimes your bonehead GM figures it out. Jim Rutherford was always medicore and chaotic in Hartford and Carolina but got enough kicks at the can that he eventually produced a cup finalist (fluke) and then a cup champion (surprise).

Florida looks like they made their big push in the series and Tampa is establishing the higher ground.

The speed with which Florida enters the zone on PP is mind boggling. Comparatively the Leafs enter in slow motion after the mandatory two drop passes at centre ice.

Sense of urgency by the Pens today. Honestly they have been the better team through 2 games. Defended in the third well aside from whatever that was by Rust.
