Jet fans can just kind of be ass holes...which is fine. They are annoying. Oiler fans have the biggest persecution complex of any fanbase in hockey and it isn't remotely close. It is pathetic.

Whenever I hate two teams equally I usually cheer for them to go the full seven games, with big bumps, bruises, drama and suspensions, goalie controversies and crises in confidence.

I think I understand the thinking behind it. Usually when you go full regime change it can be quite an upheaval with unknowns and core pieces lost via discount and poor decisions. Happened to us so many times. When you have stability, sometimes your bonehead GM figures it out. Jim Rutherford was always medicore and chaotic in Hartford and Carolina but got enough kicks at the can that he eventually produced a cup finalist (fluke) and then a cup champion (surprise).
