All these playoffs makes me think is how the Leafs blew a perfect opportunity to win the Cup because they were playing to not lose rather than to win. None of these Final 4 teams look amazing or unbeatable.

Dubas, Keefe, and Shanny are probably pissed behind closed doors. Build a team that should easily make it to the Final 4 only to find their players struggling to finish basic plays despite having a 3-1 lead. They probably have a long list of lessons learned, but they are probably coming back to the fact that there is absolutely no reason why our players should not have been able to get it done with what they had.

Thing is simple. If Dubas signed Perry instead of Thornton and Simmons it would have been a different story now. I'm 100% sure that he would found a way to score clutch goals when Matthews and Marner started to choke. Guess who scored crucial goals for Habs in game 5 and 6.

i don’t want special teams to be rendered non existent. Otherwise, what is the purpose of having a power play or penalty kill?
