Huberdeau benched for the whole 3rd period while his team came back and won. Next game is in Toronto and I am sure the media won't be all over him ![sarcasm :sarcasm: :sarcasm:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/ssst.gif)

Sharks now tied with AM in goal scoring. He'll need a game tomorrow to pace them.Sharks have a lead for once!
What happened to him?Yikes Huberdeau only 14 mins tonight. was he injured?

Always been a Laviolette fan. Have been times where I wouldn't mind if he was our coach.Rangers playing some good hockey to start the year.
Haven't changed much of their roster from last year so Laviolette deserves some credit.
What happened to him?
He had a 3 year stretch that was so good.
It's not like Florida was an offensive machine and his numbers were inflated.
I really wish we drafted Rantanen over Marner...Watched that Devils vs Avs game last night.
The overall pace of play and puck movement was extremely impressive.
Rantanen is such a great player and would probably receive more credit playing in a bigger market.

Calgary is in an interesting spot they've started off the year poorly. and to me looking at there Contracts this is the make or brake year. they need to decide weather this group is good enough or retool/rebuild. Conroy should wait till about end of December and then make his decision. if he chooses retool/rebuild having Hanifin/Zadorov/Tanev/Lindholm as rentals at the deadline could bring back a lot of draft and prospect capitol. also with Magianpane having one year left he could be a guy who could be moved in a sign and trade this summer, and Anderson at 27 might be a guy you could get great value from as well.
or they could decide to be good enough and re-sign some of these guys. but with Huberdeau and Kadri looking like there on the decline already it's hard to believe they have the makings of a strong cup contender in a year or 2,
The Leafs have a short window once they free up some cap space so a guy like Kadri is worth a chance.I wonder if the Flames would retain on Kadri's contract to trade him somewhere. If they buy him out in 2024, his buy is until 2034 and 2 of those years would be 4.4M of dead cap space and every other year would be 2M of dead cap space. Even if they wait until 2025 it's about the same but until 2033. If they retain 3.5M on the contract instead, it's only until 2029, and they would likely get a good asset back in doing so.
I would think long and hard about acquiring Kadri at 50%... hell I would think about it if they retained around 2M. He's much better than what he's shown.
As for the Flames, they just need to at least retool. Flip every pending UFA for as many picks and prospects/young players that you can. Just give up on the year and go into next year with a ton of cap space and a fresh look.
if SJ beats Edmonton they'll be tied in points!Booo Flyers are useless. Couldn’t even keep San Jose winless for one more game before facing Edmonton.
Nit in that contractThe Leafs have a short window once they free up some cap space so a guy like Kadri is worth a chance.
The poster mentioned Calgary retaining 3.5….Nit in that contract
The poster mentioned Calgary retaining 3.5….
There are worse things….Kadri wouldn’t be traded for unless Shanahan was gone.
