They could've kept Mikhayev as well for what they gave Bertuzzi.
Soup is way too much for what he brings.
I have faith in Bert to do well.
I think the fact that Bert, Domi even ROR(his top games were great) offensive struggle is a testament to Keefe’s system that is based on the talents of the big four instead of having a good system to make the players excel. Also look at Hyman and Brown(before injury).
In short, it means when the big four struggle offensively, the rest of the team can’t really score and help out.

It's funny oilers fan always exclusively blame either the goalie and/or coach. I mean they both suck, but so do their d, no depth scoring, bad pk, McDavid isn't even putting up points right now either...

Woodcroft got ejected from the game. Would it be the first time the coach got ejected in his last game before getting fired? If thats what happens.

McDavid and Draisaitl throwing temper tantrums when they did shows a lack of maturity and sealed the deal. Team scored the most goals in the NHL last season, game was very much in reach with 13 minutes left down by 2, and they threw it away because they can't control their emotions.

I wonder what Woodcroft said to the ref that got him ejected...

But man, the Oilers are a dumpster fire right now. Draisaitl has 1 more year on his contract after this season, and at this rate you know he's going to hit the UFA market and get out of Edmonton. Strangely enough, that's the same year John Tavares contract ends as well! Maybe Toronto can poach an Edmonton player for once?

Next up - Oilers fans will blame it on the Leafs!

Probably something like "My team f***ing sucks. Any way you can get me out of here fast?".

I honestly dont understand how so many people made the oilers their cup prediction. How can you think that team was going to be a contender coming into this season? How could you have faith in either of those goalies?

The oilers right now are what they would be like if McDavid wasn't a step above everyone else in the NHL and just your average super star. Any team constructed like that is not a threat to win.

They both do that a lot. I think it was the first or second game against Vancouver when they got spanked and both of them kept taking dumb penalties that had zero purpose (like cross-checking players for no reason) and then would huff and puff and shake their heads on the way to the box. Bunch of babies.

ROR was more productive here than he was in his last 2 years in STL. Domi's always seemed to struggle on better teams, especially regular season. He finished out his regular seasons in Dallas and Carolina very similarly to what we see now. Bert's a big mystery at this point.

Hyman played with the big 4 and Brown was never coached by Keefe.
