He isn't on a 4th. line in Vancouver.

So you'd like him on the 3rd. line in Toronto?

I'm not disagreeing, just clarifying he wouldn't get 13 minutes a night on the 4th. line.
I had zero problem with Lafferty last year. If your 4th line is not going to be tough, or grind down opposition then they might as well have speed.

They would not play 13 mins but I would guess they would play more than the 6 or 7 the 4th line is playong now.

In hindsight Leafs would’ve been better off letting Kampf walk and keeping Lafferty to centre the 4th line. He’d be a much better fit for Gregor and Reaves, bringing speed and feistiness, neither of which Kampf is bringing (hell he’s not even bringing his defensive acumen right now).

I'm somewhat surprised with Kampf.

Not the same player this year.

Yep.. I wasn't a fan of the Lafferty trade, which ties back to the Reaves signing.

Gregor-Kampf-Lafferty is a solid 4th line with speed and tenacity. A kind that puts Kampf in a good position. But he struggles with Reaves so it forcing Kampf on the 3rd line being miscast.

I remember watching the first game of the year and just after puck drop the broadcaster commented that the Oilers key big off-season acquisition was Brown

And then I laughed

Yeah, I was amused Brown was considered a big acquisition.

Never thought of him as anything more than depth. Was Kerfoot a big acquisition for Coyotes?

Brown 40 point player
Kerfoot 49 point player

Gud comparison!

Very similar players. I prefer Kerfoot if money is even. Otherwise I prefer the cheaper of the two lol

I think they were both big acquisitions in a relative sense.

Gregor has been ok. Not that big a deal.

Hopefully things start to get better for Canadian teams.

They've all been dumpster fires for years. But Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, and now Ottawa, have all made GM changes recently. Here's hoping things improve.

So hard to believe only a few short years ago I thought either Winnipeg or Toronto was gonna win the cup.

That all changed after the Montreal loss. The easiest path to a cup finals in a lifetime. Pissed away like all the beer these losers drank celebrating their round one victory.

Winnipeg is still a mess.

Hellebuyck hides a lot of their problems. I wish the Leafs could have traded Nylander for him. If you were in a "swing for the fences" year, like the Leafs are now, I know who I would rather have on the team.

Hellebuyck is clearly capable of being THAT goalie.

I don't expect a Canadian team to win the cup. But I'm hoping to at least see improvement. It's so hard to believe they all hired such horrible GM's at the same time.

It's even more incredible they kept all those losers around for so long.

Go Leafs Go.

Great, Buffalo got killed by Philly tonight so they’ll be mad and tryhards tomorrow.
Buffalo is still a pretty mediocre team. As usual, people were far too quick to anoint Buffalo, Ottawa and Detroit as contenders in this division. Detroit has been decent, but Buffalo and Ottawa have been garbage,

Jack Hughes crashed into the boards tonight. Doesn’t look good.

Yep the Leafs are in a joke division this season from the looks of it.

I can’t figure out watching that what happened to make him wipe out. Did he get a tap on the skate from the defender on the right making the shot there or is it just a straight wipe out?
Just a classic toe pick. Bad spot for that to happen for him, especially at the speed he was going at.
