Oilers coming back to earth hard after that win streak. As impressive as that streak was, they only faced 5 playoff teams during that streak with no back to backs.

Their whole schedule so far has been spaced out with only like 2-3 back to backs (none of which featured out of state/province travel). They've also caught a lot of teams on the second half of a back to back while they were rested at home.

Bigger joke is the concussion protocol. How he wasn't pulled from that game is crazy. That was a blow right to the head (can't really blame Draisaitl as he had no room to do anything but skate right through).

While there is so much needed focus on the RHD acquisition, I still think there is work to do with forward duos.

Matthews - Marner (Knies: perfect complementary player)
Domi - Nylander
Bertuzzi - Tavares

The team still needs a LW shooter so they can pair Tavares and Bertuzzi, which is a perfect playoff combo for 3rd line net front chaos.

Please don't say Robertson. They need some size with the Domi - Nylander duo.

Sure playing with McDavid helps greatly, but you still have to capitalize on the opportunity given to you and a number of players who have played with him haven't been able to do so in the past. Also Hyman's offensive skills have gotten better as well because some of the plays he's making now with the Oilers, I don't think he was doing those things nearly as often when he was with the Leafs.
