Oilers coming back to earth hard after that win streak. As impressive as that streak was, they only faced 5 playoff teams during that streak with no back to backs.
They didn't face a great team throughout that streak.

Listen I hate the Oilers as much as the next Leaf fan, but they did defeat us.

I guess you are right though, because at the end of the day, it is not about who you play in the NHL, it is about when you play them. They played us when we were mired in our worst streak of the season. I look forward to the rematch in Toronto.

How can you like the Oilers.

Perry, Kane, Draisaitl, Ekholm, etc

Guys with awful attitudes who whine and cross the line

I would add McDavid to that list. He just rubs me the wrong way, kinda like Gretzky. A prolific diver and whiner who believes because he has the god-given skill he should be entitled to contactless hockey.

How Oilers could look objectively and think Woodcroft was the problem IDK. They are doing the same stuff which cost Woodcroft his job. Bad defensive play, bad goaltending and laziness from the stars. At least Woodcroft would have playoff experience and learn from past failures. He literally outcoached Sutter in the playoffs.

If we don't achieve expectations in the playoffs. Woodcroft should be near the top of the list to replace Keefe.

Forget McJesus, Kucherov may have a chance to get 100 assists this season.
He's going to turn Brandon Hagel into an 80 point player. Unfortunately for Tampa, they have almost nothing beyond that top line (but that top line is maybe the best in the league in terms of pure offense).

For so many reasons, I think it would be epic if somehow the Leafs kept this going, take over first in the East, all while Pit figures something out on the PP and grabs WC2.

This forum would be a zoo for that series

One man band ...

Kucherov is the headliner, the rest of the players are his accompaniment.

Losing to our former GM in Dubas might actually break all of us fans.
