If I were RyJo I would take the 2 year then fire his agent.

Especially when you consider the only leverage he has is the KHL... and the NHLPA now is putting out warnings about possible sanctions (depending on which team you sign with) due to the whole Russia-Ukraine situation.

Narrows up his choices.

He's got nowhere to run

I'm very surprised he hasn't signed yet

It seems like he's hoping the team has a poor start and they come back begging

The whole situation screams of his agent being a ******.
If this was a tv show, the agent would most likely be pushing so hard for a higher deal because he owes the bookie a lot of money. That is how the situation is being played out in my head.

His agent is a lawyer first and foremost - heard him on XM Radio talking (or really not saying much of anything really) about the situation.

Kept going on about how he's really not going to talk about the goings on because he considers it client privilege.
That said, the only information he gave up was that they'd given up on trying to achieve a long term deal because too far apart in numbers there.

Now for something completely different:

Anytime we want to complain about our PK... just look at that.

It's too bad that picture isn't a half a second later when 2 oilers and Fasth is pointing at the open man.
And that's the PP

Oh my.
Yeah I just noticed which side the PP graphic was under... Looked at it on my phone and automagically transposed.

lol, so much for the preseason game in Toronto. Detroit Red Wings stuck in traffic, can't get there in time.

Game delayed.

well columbus put 3 offers on the table, and the long term deals were pretty ridiculous. However 2 years 3 MM was a reasonable deal. I don't think it's completely the agents fault.

2 years at 3 or even 3.25 is very fair.

Countering at 4.5M per year is crazy.

considering what the other big name RFAs got 4.5M is too much. But honestly in RyJo is going to be your top line centre than 4.5M for 2 years isn't as bad as it sounds.

So the only two teams that have yet to win a preseason game are Florida and Colorado.

Rundblad is on the perfect team to make a case for himself: he's going to be given the opportunity to play with probably the most talented lineup in the NHL and have a chance at going deep in the playoffs

It would be nice for him to make the most of it to be honest

I feel bad for islanders fans. They have been crapped on for too long. Cheap owner, crappy arena, no help from local government and a history of bad gm moves. I hope things turn around for them.

I still think the Islanders have too many question marks with their defense even with the newest addition. It is basically just all kids and one veteran now. They better hope the kids step up or they will have another miserable year and even Boychuk won't be able to save them.

That's a very generous haul for a guy with only one year left on his deal.
