Jim Dorey wouldn't last a month in today's NHL, DOPS would have him gone in no time, but they might also have to defend their position ...
Not sure Reaves is the best person to teach defensive fighting or the technical aspect... his whole style is "be stronger than the other guy and overwhelm him with punches"... he has a harder time with big guys who he isn't stronger than. I'd love to see someone like Simmonds get a position with the team (also seems like a good locker room guy and has had a nice career, he could be useful in some sense) and help in this sense since he had to be a lot more technical since he is so small.
The GM you are referring to is a former Leafs GM with the highest win %.
The next closest team in contracts is 48/50 for Vegas, they are a terribly run team too.
