Habs are having a pretty terrible night, brings a smile to one's face.

If that rumor today that Weber is indeed finished, wonder if the league will crack down on them for not formally finalizing the retirement
That' never going to happen, Chris Pronger was 'retired' and working for the league in the department of player safety while he was still under contract with the Flyers and on LTIR.

Although they’ve changed the rules in the last CBA, the cap recapture would cripple Nashville if he retired.

cheveldayoff resign yet? He should

I think a fine is appropriate for him. Realistically Bowman should have done more. He was the GM, the guy in charge. He should have overruled Joel. It doesn't make Cheveldayoff's role right. I guess he could have went to the police himself, but there is an organizational pecking order.

Not doing or saying anything the last 10 years - and then lying a few weeks ago - is a pretty damning indictment of their behaviour, even if one is willing to argue they weren't as culpable as others during one, specific, meeting.

The report showed both Chevy and Joe Q knows something is not right and that’s why the meeting was held. Let’s face it, in the middle of a playoffs and the whole MGT held a meeting to discuss an accusation about a coach. They are all grown men and knew something was off and that’s why they had that meeting. They all agreed to put everything on hold until after the playoffs.
Winning is everything in sports but there are of many things that should outweighs that and this situation is one of them.
I just don’t see how Chevy and Joe Q can escape without resigning. Their only defense is, they didn’t know it was this bad at the meeting but it still would not change the fact that they knew something was not right.
This is not a witch hunt and looking for blood but more to do with being accountable. Lastly, this is only the beginning, a few lawsuits and settlements are coming, since there are more victims than John Doe 1.

Tough watching this.

He is really brave and tough. Imagine going through 10 yrs with this and people don’t believe you.
Also, why is Joe Q still coaching today? In this case, I am going to take Kyle’s words that Joe Q knows it and didn’t do anything about it.

You should watch this if you've not seen it yet.

Maybe they've had so much practice at not stating the facts (to be nice) that it comes automatically.

I got to the point where he says "we wouldn't be standing here today" while neither is standing, and I couldn't watch any more.

Also, I would like to point out that Paul Vincent, the coach who believed in Kyle stood by him the whole time.

That Tippett comment is horrible.

After the Beach interview I'm not so sure the NHL/certain teams likely plan to just ride this out quasi ignoring it is going to work anymore

One of the only times I'll ever cheer for the Bruins

Blow the panthers out 10-0. It's a f***ing joke that Quenneville is still behind the bench
