Skilled just means "does something well", so if Boldy is better at hockey, he's more skilled. If Caufield was more skilled, he'd be better.

Like Kaprizov is better at hockey than Boldy, and he's more skilled, and he's smaller.

So size has nothing to do with it outside of making yourself feel better about how the player you like more is worse at hockey.

It's all just a coping mechanism.
You just can't handle that I'm not part of the group think on here when it comes to Boldy, can you? A coping mechanism lmao. What is there to cope? We have the better player. I've admitted that. What you've done is morphed better and skill level as the same thing. I don't view it the same way. Let me explain.

I have skill as things a player does that creates offense (stick handling, skating, passing, shooting, vision, etc). Eriksson Ek is the perfect example of a guy I don't view as very "skilled", but a damn good player nonetheless. I have Boldy as a more skilled player than Eriksson Ek, but I think Eriksson Ek is a better player. Do you understand what I'm saying?

Curious, do you view Rossi as a skilled player?

Lastly, Kaprizov isn't smaller than Boldy. He's shorter, but he weighs more than Boldy. Built like a truck and he's significantly better than both Boldy and Caufield at every aspect of hockey.

Boldy does 3 of those things better plus has better IQ than Caufield.
You act as though Boldy isn't a skilled player, when he absolutely is.
Nope. And no I didn’t.

What I'm saying is that Caufield is insanely skilled and that's why he is a productive NHL player despite his size. He *has to be* that highly skilled. If he wasn't, he wouldn't be in the NHL right now. Look at Rossi. There's plenty of skill there and he is struggling to crack a roster that needs skilled centers.

Boldy is skilled, but he also has the brute force frame to allow him to shield the puck better and not be pushed around. It also allows him to go into areas where he can't be bullied. That's why he's a better player. If Boldy wasn't skilled, he would look like a smaller Greenway.

I have Caufield better at: skating, passing, shooting, stick handling
I have Boldy better at: vision, hockey IQ

Your biggest gripe is probably going to be passing ability. His passing ability is just fine. As someone who thought he was shit at passing, because that's what I was told before he came to Wisconsin, I was shocked at how good he was at passing for Wisconsin. He just chooses not to, usually because he would rather let it rip. I have that as more of a "ding" against hockey IQ, than his ability to pass.

Sundqvist signed for $775k x 1 with STL (again). I'd rather have had him than trading for Maroon (800k).

Oskar Sundqvist signs 1 yr deal for 775K with Blues. I would have done that here if he was willing

Any idea if Guerin even tried to sign him?

Could be that Sundqvist was hoping to get more in free agency but had no takers, so he had to settle for a smaller contract.

My guess GMBG tried to sign him, but was told no (like Cole and Bonino).

Bergeron retiring.

Just for a fun fact.

Karlsson finally got traded to the Penguins. Granlund part of a cap dump they got rid of.
