I think 2014 was the last straw, when Buffalo had the best odds but Florida won the lottery. After that it went: Edmonton (3), Toronto (1), New Jersey (5), Buffalo (1), New Jersey (3), New York Rangers (14), Buffalo (1), Montreal (1), Chicago (3). All the big markets/TV markets.
The year we got leap frogged by Chicago and New York I think was my last straw.. just dumb

Generally hate the suggestion that the NHL would be even smart enough to rig a lottery but Lordy that reeks to high heaven. f*** sports.

4 goalies getting time on ice in Vegas vs Oilers game. If Hill goes down, Vegas will play with an emergency goalie. What happens if Oilers goalies both get hurt too? Is there a second emergency goalie or what?

The thing is, if it is rigged, then the owners have to be complicit, and if they are, then we’re watching a product no different than professional wrestling.

And guess who gets the next 6 winter classics...

Sorry kid, but I hope you and the Hawks fail spectacularly.
Why you wishing failure on an 18 yr old Kid who had no control on where he went, he didnt chose Chicago, its not his fault. Hes good for the league it sucks hes in our division but dont wish failure for him.

I, personally, don't think he's going to be as good as everyone is making him out to be.

Wow. Missing two years, and all for the same knee injury. I don't know that I've heard of that before, at least since the arthroscopic era began. Has six years left on his new deal.

Atleast two years.... Googling recovery timelines for the procedure they all say patient can resume "light jogging" 1 year after surgery. Full normal activity at 18 to 24 months....

So absolute best case scenerio if he's part superhero is being ready for training camp in 24/25.

I missed that it was a cartilage transplant, not a ligament procedure. Hurts me and my ruined hip cartilage to even think about.

I just don’t remember this much hype around Crosby, Ovechkin, or McDavid
Crosby had more hype, which is hard to believe. Ovechkin had less. I feel like McDavid is pretty equal.

I think a lot of the Bedard hype is that people are seeing what McDavid is currently doing in the NHL, and then transferring that to Bedard.

The kid could be a 50+50 guy for 10+ years and still "underwhelm". Crazy.

Some weird series in R2.

Scores for EDM/VGK
6-4
5-1
5-1

CAR/NJD
5-1
6-1
8-4

Kraken just won 7-2. I've turned off a lot of games in the past week.
