He was right though. Just because it wasn't the answer you were looking for, doesn't mean they didn't have that in common. :sarcasm:

Yeah sure, but I wouldn´t consider that specific piece of trivia fun in any way, shape or form. ;)

It's too bad really. Those are the only kind of things I ever have in common with professional athletes. They once ate a granola bar, they once attended high school, they once were mentally sane.

I guess I shall never be a part of Jeopardy.

lol!

Miss Crosby with 1500 Careerpoints, also McDavid with outstanding 153 Points in regular Saison.

Oh Talbot... nobody is gonna give you 2 years at this point.

ya, but why would he settle for a one year contract from the Sens when he can play the field and see what else is out there?

Seems pretty clear that he had a bad year there for a dysfunctional franchise that underperformed. Don't see why he would be in a hurry to re-sign.

Is it really that outrageous to ask for when Guerin had just handed out two two-year contracts with NMC's to two older guys who aren't any better than Talbot in Fleury and Goligoski?

Guerin doesn't manage every team.... but yeah, they can do dumb things sometimes.

Wow, perfect timing. Surprise surprise. :eyeroll:

You know it's been common even long before the cap existed, that NHL players who have been injured, do anything and everything to come back for the playoffs right?

That's one of the reasons the NHL got the rep for having tough players.

Shanahan broke his ankle 3 weeks before the playoffs, he didn't miss game 1, despite not being able to walk when out of his skates

Would you have said the same if Ek played today? He sure as hell tried...

While I don't disagree with your overall point, I think think it's becoming more and more egregious. It's not like Stone was out for 3 weeks, he's been out since mid January.

Also, isn't this the 2nd year in a row? Where he's been injured for multiple months and seemingly healed just in time for the playoffs?

Don't they have to get cleared by doctors to play? And aren't teams that are in salary cap trouble forced to bring guys off LTIR if they are cleared? Ek's injury is new and has nothing to do with salary cap circumvention/LTIR.

It's way too "convenient" that year after year these guys are medically cleared by doctors to finally play a game just in time for game 1 of the playoffs.
