Damn kadri is putting the Avs in his back recently. Going through a heater. Up to 23 pts in 27. Having a strong year.

1 year till UFA. Wonder if there would be any interest on returning to the leafs in a year. Would be tough fit even at 4.5M and he probably wants a raise which will make his deal bad so not to hopeful.

He was clutch for them in playoffs too. 18 pts in 15 games.

If only never signed JT..... oh welll....

Obviously love JT and despite him not producing enough he is a better player than kadri but the gap right now isnt 6.5M. We could have kept Kapanen with that and added a 3.2M 3C this year which would have increased the offensive depth on the team

Just sucks kadri got suckered into the heat of things and got suspended in 2019. Sucks that we didnt try and send him to a sports psychiatrist like MAF went after his early 2010 debacles.

At 4.5M he was such a incredible deal. He could have played 2C or 2LW for us

If only we had dealt Marleau + AJ in 2019 offseason for a 2nd or 3rd+B prospect and then payed the 1st we gave up to dump PM along with a good prospect to get get brodie earlier

It's all hindsight now but watching the leafs with Kadri for me was certainly amazing. Will always support him in his career.

Leafs under any of the current management would have zero interest in Kadri, at any price.

I'd be wary of the inflation around playing in a division where you play more games against LA, Anaheim, San Jose, and Arizona (all bottom 10 teams) than against any amazing teams.

He has only played 10 games against the other clear top 4 teams in that division (MIN, VEG, STL) and he has 5 points. The true test will be how he matches up against stronger teams, not consistently putting up multiple points against bottom 5-10 teams in the NHL (although that certainly is still nice to do). Same with the playoffs. Arizona and Dallas are easier than the Vegas and St. Louis he could find himself facing in the playoffs.

This also applies to potential targets like Iafallo from LA, but he has put up 10 points in 18 games against the top 4 teams and he is not playing on the best team. The main thing working against him is he gets a ton of ice time to put up those numbers, so they may regress if he gets less here.

I think the Sabres are taking the crown as the most embarrassing NHL franchise in the last decade

That rebuild, that was allegedly ahead of the Leafs back in 2016, has completely fallen apart and the cornerstone of that rebuild is probably close to being out the door via trade.

Since Lindy Ruff (2013):

Ron Rolston and his gardening gloves (interim) - 51 games 19-26-6

Ted Nolan - 144 games 40-87-17
Dan Bylsma - 164 games 68-73-23
Phil Housley - 164 games 58-84-22
Freddy Krueger - 97 games 36-49-12

Anders Lee is out the rest of the regular season. Which means the Islanders are going to get a guy to replace him and then have Lee back for the playoffs.

Nevermind, out for the playoffs too.

Krueger fired as Sabres coach

About f'in time. Another analytics darling bites the dust.

The Rangers are up 6 - 0 against the Flyers with their AHL coaching staff behind the bench with a period and a half to go lol

So I just need Philly to score 7 quick ones to make my parlay.

And now it's 9-0.

A touchdown in the second period, yikes.
