Calgary holds on to beat Edmonton 4-3 in regulation.

Again, another good result for us, but I worry slightly that Calgary with Sutter will find their games for the second half of the season.

perfect results. even if the other teams win out, we'll still be in first when we play next.

Nice Oilers lose.

Habs move ahead of the oil into 3rd.

Flames creep within striking distance of the Oilers for the last playoffs spot - 5pts back with 2gms in hand.

Jesus just saw Chiarot is out for 6-8 weeks on the Habs.

Funny how the two guys who squared up to open the season, Simmonds and Chiarot, both got really unlucky with hand injuries that sidelined them for weeks.

However it affects our standing in the division, I'd strongly lean towards load management practices for everyone on the team. After this break the games come fast and furious until the end of the season. Giving sufficient down time to all is important so that they're in a proper physical state, not only to compete when the playoffs start, but to have their wits about them when they're on the ice. Injuries are something we need to avoid and a tired player is more susceptible to putting themselves in harms way. Shit happens, there's nothing that can be done about that, but I'd hate to see a valuable player lost to injury due to fatigue.

Yeah, a bit concerning that we're about to face them as they potentially take off under Sutter while we're slumping.

What's going on with NYI? Are people still saying Lou's senile and has f***ed up the team? They have great goaltending and they just keep winning, maybe they're just good after all?

Winners of 9 straight and 9-0-1 in last 10. Not to worry COVID won't save them this year :sarcasm:
