Oh there is. Considering he sat Holl for 76 games and there is no reason to ever do that. Why would he change his mind on players when he never does?
Seeing all these Babs quotes come out finally is funny. I guess he had enough poking from Leafs fans and media. Funny thing is, since he's commented on all things Mecca of Hockey, he only sounds crazier.

Listening to Mike Futa on Sportsnet radio with some regularity, you can see (hear) why he didnt get a GM job despite being a "favourite" for so many years. Hes stuck in 2012.

So what? Its ridiculous hyperbole.

Same with the bullshit I hear from fans and the media "Sidney Crosby never takes nights off! Connor McDavid never takes nights off!". They do. All the time.

This fanbase expects the Leafs to be 100% perfect every single night and goes bonkers if they arent.

lol fair enough. Can you speak to Freddy haters a little ;)

Lol what the hell did I just listen to?

If he worked his butt off for you then why did he not get more chances to play?

:biglaugh::biglaugh:

That's hilarious, thanks for sharing that, geez Louise what a tool.

Here are the top 10 teams as of right now. What's the biggest surprise? Is it Carolina, FLA or the NYI who have picked up 19 points in their last 10 games and have still yet to lose in regulation at home this season? Does this mean the Dubas vs Lamoriello debate still rages on? ;)

He's awful and sounds worse by every interview

Watching the Oilers against the Sens, holy crap they play some bush league hockey.

Outside of Boston and Tampa, maybe Vegas, we are a class above the rest.

Also tired of this "Jets are solid" narrative. Outside of some offensive weapons and a goalie, that team is hot garbage.

If the Leafs were doing what Tampa is doing with Kucherov the franchise would be fined out the ass and owners, GMs, and media would be hollering and crying foul 24/7. Tampa however can blatantly circumvent the cap until the playoffs when things matter most and no one bats an eye.

Pretty simple. He should have to be evaluated by a 3rd party doctor. If he's fit to play, then he either plays now or he should not be eligible for the playoffs.

Question for you guys...do any of you know who Howard Berger is and if he's credible? Tweeted something about a firing in Buffalo today and his bio says he's a Leafs writer, formerly of The Fan-590.

Berger is the worst type of hack and I'm sorry to see he's still sliming around the scene. He's Steve Simmons without the writing ability. Yes you read that right. Tbh I thought he lost his job years ago. I remember he tried to go independent after the Fan and it did not quite pan out. Extremely irrelevant. Churns out clickbait for views. Googles his own name. Etcetera.

Mike Babcock famously said in one interview that he makes up his mind on a player in the first 15 minutes.

That's all anyone needs to know.

Babcock just spinning around the question

that interview was hilariously awkward. After like the 5th question about Babcock's past horseshit, he started going "how long we have left here boys"...he was golfing with Ken Hitchcock at the same time, eventually Hitch got on and told Janssen and Strickland to f*** off, in those words.

Leave it to Babs to schedule a tee time at the same time he's agreed to do an interview.

Or even easier: Make salary cap count in the playoffs? Seems like this is just an easy way for things like this to happen.

Oh well, we just have to beat them assuming we play them in the first place.

Imagine being at the point as a fanbase that you need to do a victory lap after beating the Senators a couple times. Though I guess it is a fanbase that gets off more on their precious star players collecting points then they do winning.

I’ve done phone meetings on the golf course. Many do, it’s pretty common these days. Technology can be a wonderful thing.
