Every year I post a ranking of the league on the main board using Elo score.
(Elo starts at 2500 and uses K of 100)

It basically shows which teams are "hot" right now.

I haven't done so this year because of the weird league configuration.

But I figured I would split it by division and share what it looks like now.

:laugh: Edmunson just led a 3 on 2 rush, the Jets defenders game him the whole middle to rush and he just took a stride in past the top of the circles and shot at Helle's chest

Hi Leafs fans which do you think is the mostly likely answer?

If during an Avs PP they have a 3 on 2 down low and Kadri has the puck what happens:

A) pass the puck to an open MacKinnon
B) pass the puck to a Rantanen
C) shoot
D) try a drop pass to the Avs D at the point
E) take the puck towards an opposing defender and attempt a toe drag

That's some bad defensive coverage by LA...4 Kings players on one side of the ice looking at one Minny player while Dumba was allowed to skate right down the middle to take the pass and score.

Hellebuyck is pretty amazing. Montreal didn't get a ton of quality and the goal he did let in was weak, but he did stop 40 of 41 shots and is the only reason Winnipeg is getting this game to OT
 
Nothing has changed after 2 games. Lots of shots, little quality chances, and a more talented team beats you. Poor special teams too.
 
And just like that, fans are on Ducharme. I get it bad choice of players to start, but the fact those players are an option shows all the problems.
Good for Julien to get out from that mess.

I really think Winnipeg is going to go hard after defenceman before the trade deadline. I could see Ekholm and someone else (Perhaps a rental like Vatanen) going there. Really think they are our biggest challenge in this North division.

That’s what makes this a good division. If every team is like the Sens, Leafs will get complacent and end up not knowing how to play against great teams in the playoffs.
 
I could be wrong but the Jets still look like a paper tiger to me.

Fewest shots against/60: 26th in the NHL
Fewest Scoring Chances Against/60: 30th in the NHL
Fewest High Danger Chances Against/60: last in the NHL
Overall Team D(xGA/60): 30th in the NHL

Team save %: 3rd in the NHL

Goaltending might be able to keep them flying for a while but these stories don't usually end up with happy endings.
