I really want to know how it can be so bad in the locker room.that Vancouver has to ship one (or both) of Miller and EP.
It sounds like they have both a domineering personality in Miller, and a wall flower in EP. Both seem like problems in your 'average' locker room....for as much as I know about locker rooms, anyway.

Feels like the Canucks pull all their chips in the "Canes will take one" basket and now because that option is off the table, they're scrambling and basically begging someone to take one (or both) off their hands.

Tulsky crashing the market by acquiring a top player elsewhere, dialing up the time pressure in Vancouver, to then turn around and take advantage of their desperation a week or two later would be quite the play.
The only thing that makes me think otherwise would be the possibility of Miller’s personality being a roadblock to signing Rantanen. Can’t imagine he signs with us for 8 years if we have an asshole in the room.
Now, if we get him signed quickly, go get Miller.

How do we feel about going after Lindgren from WASH this summer to compete with Pyotr in a 1A/1ab situation? Pretty sure none of us would be took comfortable signing a pure back up type given Kochetkov’s inconsistencies and injury history, would be nice to have a competent healthy guy who could carry a starter load.
Yeah, I have no idea. But hopefully the front office has an inkling. And act accordingly.

It did. Nice pass, Drury wide open and cashed in.
Overall, Avs were the better team, controlling the game esp when that top line was on the ice. But the rest of the lines looked kinda sloppy tonight, and the Isles did that irritating thing they do by taking advantage of the little chances they get. Necas looks really dangerous with MacKinnon but he does twirl-and-fumble a few times each game. Plus, TDA on the penalty kill and playing against an Avs 6-on-5 late. Guess the Isles really needed D right now...

It’s just so utterly embarrassing that two guys have such a poor relationship that their boss has to do public interviews about changing the direction of the entire organization because their shitty relationship blew up the entire strategic plan.
Both of them are good players who would make the Canes more talented, but I have misgivings about anyone who would let his personal beef escalate to this level. Just on a professional level there comes a time to stop and get your shit together.
