I'm guessing this means he's done until next season at some point. Hope he has a speedy and full recovery. He can't catch a break. Feel bad for him.

No, but with severe cuts there's all kinds of weird shit that can happen to muscles post-surgery.
He actually managed to cut himself when his knee bent. I only hope it didn't go too deep into the muscle. If it didn't, it might just be a season ender.

Landeskog is out because the cartilage in his knee is gone. I mean this sounds like it was serious but he's already out of hospital. A lacerated quad sounds like he was cut by a skate to me, not a muscle tear. If he tore his quad they'd say he tore his quad.
Cammalleri had a lacerated quad due to skate cut way back when. I don't recall how long he was out though. He did come back that year though.
Edit: looked it up, he missed 2 weeks but the cut wasn't too deep. It also happened vs the Jets!

Shut him down for the year, we go as far as we can without him.
The risk doesn't rise up to the reward.
I think given a little time, Struble can be a very effective bottom D pair, the problem right now is that Ghule's injury put many of the D in the wrong chair,
If you need to give all the LH D more ice time, Matheson and WiFi will make more errors, not a knock on them just a fact.
The boys have shown a lot of resiliency, the playoff were a long shot anyway. I just hope the can continue to "stay in the mix" for as long as possible.
One thing EVERY Habs Fan Needs to Do: Temper your Expectations and for God's Sake Stop with the Drama!

I brought up Landeskog because he was cut by Makar's skate in and around the knee during their Stanley Cup Final run. That seems to be the career ender for him, as he was playing through whatever else he had.

I'm sure he isn't thrilled with the PAIN and SURGERY and HOURS of REHAB and more PAIN either.
Would you be LESS mad at him if he stopped blocking shots and sacrificing his body on a nightly basis.
He would be less likely to get hurt "all the "f...ing time"

Perhaps. But he's the best option we have right now. And I also think that too many have over estimated , unrealistically so, Struble's projected level of play/contribution.

Mad at the fact that he’s always injured. Would we be able to count on him for a 80 ish games? For a full playoffs run? I’m having more doubts than ever.

As valuable as Ghule is, if the boys have shown ANYTHING this year it's the resiliency over these last six weeks.
Instead of wilting like the first 6 weeks of the season, the boys have "fight" in them, too bad some of there fans don't.
ENJOY THE RIDE, for however long the boys are in it.

That's a terrifying thought for this team, and a big reason why I'm praying for a huge upgrade at 2C this summer.
We're almost at the point where we just assume we're getting 82 games out of Suzuki every season, but if the day comes where he misses significant time then we're going to be beyond f***ed. No offense to Dach/Dvoark, but that'd be one of the weakest 1C/2C combos ever iced if we were force to run that at any point.

It wasn't that bad of a cut then. Guhle required surgery that's a far more serious injury.

Like I said in the last years. If Suzuki were to be injured, we would have been in the mix for Bedard and Celebrini. He's carrying this team more than we think. He never missed a game.

Struble Jackeye Savard Carrier as in our top 6 dman. That's 4 3rd pair dman. It's gonna be rough

We ain't deep enough to compete for WC without Guhle. This team at full health looks good but we lost a rookie forward in Heineman and haven't looked the same since. Now we're out our best D? Ya playoffs ain't looking too good right now
