He want return a caroline

Which one? We actually have room in the Top 6 for Skinner, though I don't think it'll actually help the issue we have with scoring. As for Jesse, teams keep taking a flyer on him hoping he'll be better than he is, but I think six different coaches now have basically said "Nah, we'll pass", so I think Poolparty is what he is at this point

Skinner has a NMC so Edm can't even send him down to the AHL without his consent. Even if they want to move him, if he refuses to waive for any reason, he may finally make the playoffs.

That's the one young player that our team developed internally, besides Nic Roy, that the Canes gave up too early on in the Waddell/Tulsky era. I understand that there was uncertainty at RHD post-Hamilton, but he's become a quintessential Hurricane role player except playing in the West.

“Canes gave up too early”
IMO, biggest miss was Forsling

The Forsling miss was, in a way, much more forgivable. That guy was drafted by Vancouver, of all teams, and was passed around the league like an afterthought before he found a team and coach who actually knew what they had.

Forsling continues to be not worth lamenting. Nobody, including Florida, thought he'd be what he became.
sure, that’s a take but fact is that is a miss and a player would be balling for the canes right now.

Florida has done arguably the best job in the NHL in finding castoffs from buffalo, Calgary and yes the Canes that have been major contributors.

It's also one of those things that you can't be sure that he becomes the same guy in just any situation. For all we know he's just Chatfield because that's the type of role he plays with the guys we had in place over the years.

Our boi Faulk scores a faulking Winter Classic goal!

But, uh, remind me why the craphawks are in the league's biggest midseason showcase game?

Because original 6, something something traditional market, something something original 6, something something Connor Bedard is Wayne Gretzky 2.0

Nope gotta have them play at Comiskey Park. Then Solider Field, then U of Illinois stadium, then Lake Michigan when it freezes over.

Then, and not a moment after, we can have Bruins vs Rangers at Fenway Park. And then maybe Pens vs Flyers because everyone outside Pennsylvania will watch for sure!

If you go down that path then any player in the League is suspect. I'm not that cynical.

Chicago is the 3rd? largest City in the US. Wrigley is arguably one of the top 5 iconic baseball venues. it's not surprising at all to me that the Hawks, who suck, and Chicago has this game.

And they'll give it to them there a 3rd time if they have have to.

To be fair they won an outdoor game at Soldier Field. But it was a lowly Stadium Series game so it doesnt count
