I think it was 3, but there was a 3rd period comeback on NYE in 2013? against Montreal. Their fans came into our GDT all pissed off. Was funny.

Yeah, that was the one. I was at that game sitting maybe 10 rows up at the south end where the Canes shoot twice. It was wild.

For some reason I thought you said in Vancouver. The game I’m thinking of was in ‘06. The Canes scored 3 in the 3rd to tie it and lost in OT.

That game to me was two things.
1. The Hurricanes were going to be awesome that season.
2. The Dead Puck era was truly gone.
These two might be my top two (regular season) in-person games.
the NYE game was a 3 goal deficit. canes scored 4 in the first 10 minutes of the 3rd. subban tied it with about 9 to go. intense as hell the rest of the way. and then our blessed semin won it in ot. a supernova of a game in the dark times.
the flyers game was just bananas.

Two seasons removed from 65 wins. A season removed from winning a playoff round without Bergeron.
The Bruins have a bad prospect pool, two contracts in Z and Lindholm that don't appear to be aging well already, and now with DeBrusk in Vancouver now have nothing to show for the 2015 draft.
I think Sweeny should be the one getting the axe here. Maybe later on he will, but man, this team looks to have a really bad future ahead of itself. Coach is honestly the least of their worries.
(Oh and I'm interested in the position, not like they have anything to lose here

I mean, I get why they did it. The Bruins look bad this year, and there doesn't seem to be any marked improvement from game to game. So that's on the coach.
Ultimately though, the GM is going to take the fall, because their skating and work ethic (as a whole) is losing them games, and the players that they acquired to attempt to fix that have not.

That was Turbo here as well. Great guy, good complementary player, but never really generated offense on his own. Though it seems like it’s a team-wide issue, considering they keep switching lines from game to game.

Yep. I haven't been to many games in person but I was at that one, New Years Eve 2013. Canes were down 3-0 in the 2nd, scored 4 straight in 7 minutes (Skinner with 2 goals in 37 seconds) and won it in OT. Great game!
