Didn't we have a big comeback against Vancouver during the dark years as well? I remember being down and coming back and then Vancover made it close at the end...something like. 7-6 or 7-5 game? Maybe the deficit wasn't 4 goals like it was with CLB.
I feel like they lost that Vancouver game in OT. Could easily be misremembering.

I think it was 3, but there was a 3rd period comeback on NYE in 2013? against Montreal. Their fans came into our GDT all pissed off. Was funny.

the 8-6 canes vs flyers game in october 2005 was a wild one too

These two might be my top two (regular season) in-person games.

the NYE game was a 3 goal deficit. canes scored 4 in the first 10 minutes of the 3rd. subban tied it with about 9 to go. intense as hell the rest of the way. and then our blessed semin won it in ot. a supernova of a game in the dark times.

the flyers game was just bananas.

Two seasons removed from 65 wins. A season removed from winning a playoff round without Bergeron.

The Bruins have a bad prospect pool, two contracts in Z and Lindholm that don't appear to be aging well already, and now with DeBrusk in Vancouver now have nothing to show for the 2015 draft.

I think Sweeny should be the one getting the axe here. Maybe later on he will, but man, this team looks to have a really bad future ahead of itself. Coach is honestly the least of their worries.

(Oh and I'm interested in the position, not like they have anything to lose here 😆)

I mean, I get why they did it. The Bruins look bad this year, and there doesn't seem to be any marked improvement from game to game. So that's on the coach.

Ultimately though, the GM is going to take the fall, because their skating and work ethic (as a whole) is losing them games, and the players that they acquired to attempt to fix that have not.

Man, remember when turbo had 7 points in his first 5 games and the canes had shat the bed letting him walk?

Hadn't heard much lately, and a quick look tells me he has one point in his last 13 since that hot start. Oof.

Love him so i hope things pick up, but i'm glad that narrative was snipped early.

That was Turbo here as well. Great guy, good complementary player, but never really generated offense on his own. Though it seems like it’s a team-wide issue, considering they keep switching lines from game to game.

On the 14th, it was:
Bedard-Kurashev-Teravainen
Hall-Foligno-Bertuzzi
Donato-Dickinson-Anderson
Maroon-Reichel-Smith

In the 3rd period of their game on the 15th, it was:
Donato-Bedard-Smith
Hall-Foligno-Kurashev
Teravainen-Dickinson-Anderson
Maroon-Reichel-Bertuzzi

On the 16th:
Kurashev-Bedard-Donato
Mikheyev-Foligno-Bertuzzi
Teravainen-Dickinson-Anderson
Maroon-Reichel-Smith

On the 18th:
Anderson-Dickinson-Bedard (yes, they switched wings)
Teravainen-Foligno-Kurashev
Hall-Donato-Mikheyev
Bertuzzi-Reichel-Smith

Projected for their next game against Anaheim:
Bedard-Dickinson-Anderson
Hall-Donato-Mikheyev
Kurashev-Foligno-Teravainen
Bertuzzi-Reichel-Smith

Who had the caps leading the division before thanksgiving?

Not me. But ovie being week to week will effect that

Caps are like a reanimated corpse. Ovechkin and Strome leading a team in 2024 is like… what?

Metro standings look comical with NJ having played 5 more games than the team ahead of them and 6 more than the team behind them.
