I don't believe for a second that they're making this up. However I could buy that Biz got texted by one of the guys on Columbus about it since he's basically trying to be the Pat McAfee of hockey, because it's a really f***ing awkward thing to do in a "getting to know you" type situation. Biz blows it out of proportion because he f***ing hates Babcock and that's a really f***ing awkward thing to do in a "getting to know you" type situation. Whole thing blows up. Babcock says it's all a "getting to know you" type thing with the guys, Jenner backs him up on it because it's a really weird thing to get fired over which would have likely been the result here if he came out and said "yeah what the hell, that WAS uncalled for thinking about it".
