Rod and Mogilny aside ... how the f*** do Vernon and Barrasso get in over Cujo?
If we're putting those guys in, then Osgood is a HOFer.

How many years do players have to get voted in? How many is Rod at now?
The disrespect to Rod continues another year.No Rod this year.
Hitchcock, Lacroix, Ouellette, Barrasso, Lundqvist, Turgeon, Vernon
He was the best goalie in the league for like a decade.Lundqvist gets in on his first year of eligibility? Really?
Its absolutely personal against him. Someone said that Lindros is on the committee. If that's true, there's your reason on why he'll likely never get in.The disrespect to Rod continues another year.
It really doesn't make sense IMO.

Barrasso won the Calder and Vezina as an 18yo, 3 2nd place finishes in Vezina voting and a 3rd, a Jennings, 1st or 2nd team AS 3 times, 2 cups, all time points leader among goalies in almost 500 games fewer played than 2nd place. He would have been in years ago if it wasn't for the fact that the guys that usually vote on this stuff absolutely hate his guts and the feeling was more than mutual on his part.Rod and Mogilny aside ... how the f*** do Vernon and Barrasso get in over Cujo?

Yep, another guy that should have been in LONG ago. The ridiculousness that some people held it against him that he didn't get involved in one of the darkest moments in tournament history in the WJC kept him out for the longest time. Here I was thinking Turgeon was already in...
there is no limit. Dick Duff got in something like 35 years after he retiredHow many years do players have to get voted in? How many is Rod at now?
I believe this was year 17 for Barasso, so at least that long
Lindros is not on the committee -- but Ron Francis is.Its absolutely personal against him. Someone said that Lindros is on the committee. If that's true, there's your reason on why he'll likely never get in.
I mean seriously, Carbonneau and Mike Vernon are in the HoF but Brindy isn't? lol GTFO

I mean, we're prettymuch already at that point. Dick Duff, Phil Housley, Kevin Lowe. I think we're at the point (and it would not in any way surprise me if it happens) where Eric Staal somehow gets in before Rod does.I still personally think it's goofy to have such a small collection of folks choosing.
Maybe give this sooper special committee a high weight in voting or something, but allow more votes to keep weird shit from hopefully happening.
I've heard many whispers in the past that Brindy being held out of the HoF is more about a personal vendetta rather than anything to do with his on ice play. I always thought it was someone with the Flyers, but really... You very well could be right about this. Everyone associated with Francis seems to hold some kind of vendetta against the team, from journalists to guys like Eddie O on broadcasts, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's a major reason why Brindy is frozen out right now.I’d like to think Francis isn’t so petty that he’s not the face of the Hurricanes that he thought he was going to be. But I’m struggling for another answer now that ANOTHER Francis guy gets in under his watch.

Yeah, I mean more going forward. It definitely already happens.I mean, we're prettymuch already at that point. Dick Duff, Phil Housley, Kevin Lowe. I think we're at the point (and it would not in any way surprise me if it happens) where Eric Staal somehow gets in before Rod does.

Seems like a nice diversified group of decision makers with NA, Euros, Mgt. & women's hockey represented. I don't know who RBA would have PO'd in this group however.
I wouldn't have selected Vernon but I don't have heartburn on the others.

No, Lindros is not on the committee. Bobby Clarke was, but retired last year.
no, not sure what the criteria is but I think it's somewhere around the baseball total of 75%Does it have to be a unanimous vote to get in?
