I think he is good, but there was an argument he was their fourth best left handed D in Buffalo last year… top 5 pick and that kind of coin is crazy to me

Yeah money is crazy, especially with his concussion issues. I know they can LTIR if that pops up, but a lot of that money would still need to be paid. Not sure how he can command that money at this point. I don't think Samuelsson is better as he is more a defensive guy who well exceeded his normal offensive output.

Thing is, Buffalo had a very good top 4 last year, so being 4th isn't necessarily that bad a slight. I also think that Power is a little overrated as so far I am not that impressed with him in his games against Detroit.

For me Samuelsson was their second best D-man last year in a large part because of how good he is defensively. My debate is with Power and Byram for three and four.
