Ooook.
FanDuel says the safer bet is Option 2.The McDavid era really can end two ways now. Win with Babcock or McDavid leaves because of Babcock (along with years of gross negligence).
Oilers should rehire Kenny too lol
Ooook.
If they had kept Kenny, they might have prioritized keeping Broberg and Holloway instead of all of the vets they signed first that left them open to being poached.
This feels like Bowman throwing in the towel on being able to build a better lineup and instead putting it on a coach who has never been able to win it all unless gifted a lineup that could carry him. Edmonton deserves whatever crappery befalls them.

It's Kypreos who is almost always wrong, but he is saying Bobrovsky is looking for a 6 or 7 year deal at $42 million. Normally I wouldn't post Kyper stuff cause he never gets it right, but there was some other insiders saying Bob wants a long term deal which is why he isn't staying in Florida. So maybe Bob has some crazy ideas.
Jokes aside on GMs like Bowman, I don't think any GM would give a soon to be 38 year old goalie a long term deal, unless the cap hit was really low.
Tkachuk and Rinne before Zetterberg and Ozzie???
And never heard of the woman.
Rinne was a way better Goalie than Osgood
Joseph should really get in at this point if they're letting Rinne in though
Osgood
- 2 Cups as a starter (1998 & 2008)
- 3rd Cup as a backup (1997)
- 2 Jennings Trophies as a starter (1996 & 2008)
- Most wins (39) at 1995-96 season
- 401 wins
- 74 playoff wins (49 losses)
Rinne
- 0 Cups
- 1 Vezina Trophy
- 1 King Clancy (2021)
- Most wins (43) at 2011-12 seasons
- 369 wins
- 45 playoff wins (44 losses)
Also Osgood was one win away of the 2009 Conn Smythe.
