  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.

Oilers should rehire Kenny too lol

If they had kept Kenny, they might have prioritized keeping Broberg and Holloway instead of all of the vets they signed first that left them open to being poached.

This feels like Bowman throwing in the towel on being able to build a better lineup and instead putting it on a coach who has never been able to win it all unless gifted a lineup that could carry him. Edmonton deserves whatever crappery befalls them.

also it's been 7 years since he's coached at this point(not counting Columbus since he didn't even make it to camp let alone any games)

Apparently Babcock is still consulted through out the league in the down low but also what a choice to bring this guy back

1) Rumors swirl that Larkin isn't the only player that will ask to be traded.
2) Leafs hire Jim Hiller.
3) Oilers may hire Mike Babcock.

It could be a very interesting summer of 2027... THEY'RE ALL CONNECTED!!! McDavid and Matthews are gonna be free agents!!!

It's Kypreos who is almost always wrong, but he is saying Bobrovsky is looking for a 6 or 7 year deal at $42 million. Normally I wouldn't post Kyper stuff cause he never gets it right, but there was some other insiders saying Bob wants a long term deal which is why he isn't staying in Florida. So maybe Bob has some crazy ideas.

Jokes aside on GMs like Bowman, I don't think any GM would give a soon to be 38 year old goalie a long term deal, unless the cap hit was really low.

he just had a really bad season too

between that and his age i'd be upset about signing him at all if I were a fan of wherever he ended up even at a much more reasonable term

the irony of using all those team stats is that the Wings themselves would have moved him for Rinne in a second if they were contemporaries and they saw an opportunity to do so

they were always trying to improve on him, and they had to waive him at the age of 29 when they did so because they couldn't even find anyone interested in trading for him

and then when he eventually came back it was only once there was a cap because he was willing to sign a cheap 1 year deal

oh and one of those cups he won as a starter he wasn't even the first choice and only even took over because the washed up 43 year old who would end up retiring 5 days after those Playoffs ended who started the first 4 games of those Playoffs faltered

Osgood's hall resume is always tricky.

His overall accomplishments say he should be in.

But I would have loved to see this board in 98 after he let in that Langenbrunner OT goal from center ice. He was already having a horrible playoffs before that. Now he rebounded nicely after that moment, but some if not a lot of that was in part due to the team in front of him.
