How was this guy drafted 2 OA? The scouting reports all whiffed on their projections.

Very odd draft..what would top 3 re-draft look like? Hughes, Boldy, SeiderHow was this guy drafted 2 OA? The scouting reports all whiffed on their projections.
Kakko has 14 points this season in 30 games. Byfield has 13 points in 31 games.
Putting that out their for perspective for these second overall duds.
If you are in an organization for six seasons (like KK was) and you are at this level, the odds of ever achieving anything that even resembles a positive ROI for a #2 pick are extremely long.
If QB is at this level next season, this is probably what the return would be. If the Kings want to pull the ejector seat, this years deadline might be the last chance to do so and get any kind of return.
Is there anyone on this team you guys don’t want to trade after a loss?If you are in an organization for six seasons (like KK was) and you are at this level, the odds of ever achieving anything that even resembles a positive ROI for a #2 pick are extremely long.

Kaako has never flashed the level of skill that Byfield has at the NHL level. That's exactly why I'm so concerned with his performance this season. QB is in his fifth season and isn't proving his worth with his new contract.
His continuous struggles with consistency is worrying. The Rangers waited and waited with Kakko, and look what he goes for today.
Imagine trading Byfield next year for the equivalent of Ryan Lindgren and two middling picks.
For years, you guys have bitched and moaned about the org ‘not playing the kids’….now the lineup is filled with them and you guys are ready to ship their asses out if they aren’t on a PPG pace. It’s hilarious.Who else have I advocated trading?
It's simply saying that if QB doesn't improve, this would be the return on him next season, and it's something the Kings have to consider as they try and improve the team for a playoff run this season. I know you think any player who is under 30 is still "just a kid", but the trades recently made show otherwise.
I know you hate having anything that resembles a discussion on hockey, but some people do, so why do you insert yourself into every discussion with your pathetic one-line posts that add nothing to the discussion?

Who are you trading Byfield for that would satisfy your standards?
If they were trains they would be pacing each other lolwe all like to shit on blake's rebuild, but it at least it aint rangers bad haha
Cozens is the one I'd be targeting if I was Blake. He seems like the exact type who's game pops as soon as he gets a change of scenery. Could potentially help the Kings in the short term and the long term.
Wish we could do Fiala straight up, but Kev ain't gonna waive that clause for Buffalo.
Despite the critics of Moore around here, he's legit good, scoring at a 53pts pace, and locked up to a low cap hit. He might make some sense for Buffalo in a potential trade. They need to save money, but they also need guys who can help now, not just prospects. They'd want Spence or Clarke, but that doesn't make sense for us.
Cozens-Kopitar-Kempe
Foegle-Byfield-Laferriere
Turcotte-Danault-Fiala
Lee-Helenius-Jeannot/Lewis
If Cozens is rejuvenated and Danault/Byfield get their heads out of their asses it's a real nice forward group. Would have to fenagle that cap some.
We want Q to be great but it’s tough to tell if HE even wants it. There’s something missing and it ain’t skill, speed, or size.
No they're not. They're looking for guys who can play now.Moore is probably too old for Buffalo. They would probably be looking for draft picks + prospects way more than they'd want a guy who turns 30 in a couple of months.
Kings and Rangers have followed the same organizational trajectories. Both bottomed out with high picks in ‘19 and ‘20, said f*** it to the rebuild and just got a bunch of old guys, and killed their formerly top-rated prospect pool. Only difference is that they got a goalie first. If it wasn’t for Igor they’d have been one and done just like us.we all like to shit on blake's rebuild, but it at least it aint rangers bad haha
Rangers had tremendous luck. Back to back top 2 picks from doing really well in the lottery.Kings and Rangers have followed the same organizational trajectories. The other difference was Panarin wanted to sign there so they said f*** a rebuild and signed him. We did the same thing with Danault!Kings and Rangers have followed the same organizational trajectories. He acts like a wimp out there. Gets a high stick and it is a yard sale. Any little bump and he is on the bench rubbing where it hurts and letting everyone know that something happened to him.We want Q to be great but it’s tough to tell if HE even wants it. There’s something missing and it ain’t skill, speed, or size.
dont worry Blake will return it to overpayments again, or is that just him.....Drury just killed the reclamation market lol
Wonder how these losers feel now.
I went to see his movie but it was only iut for 3 hours. He acts like a wimp out there. Gets a high stick and it is a yard sale. Any little bump and he is on the bench rubbing where it hurts and letting everyone know that something happened to him.
Needs to have that dog in him but I haven't seen it yet or, if I have, it is so fleeting that I'm not recalling it right now. I'm not questioning that he wants to win or whatever, but does he have what it takes to be that guy. When asking that question, you have to ask the question of if he knows what it takes and has being brought up in this team's culture why he doesn't know.
I will say that he should park the diamond necklace in a safe until he plays better. Looking like Omar Epps in Major League II right now.
