Yeah, people like to hate on their defencemen, but their forwards are horrible in defensive situations. If they can outscore their mistakes, or if they get gargantuan goaltending they have a chance.

Unless we see some serious improvements, not sure how they can compete for a playoff spot... mind you, I guess that 8 seed in the east is open to the best worst team case if the Caps can claim it (last season), I guess anyone can.

Problem is, Devils are better, so they are an automatic imo. Don't see anyone else falling out (other than Caps for Devils).
