The Oil trading a first for an offensive Dman Detroit paid a 2nd just to get rid of when everyone in the hockey loving world knew they needed a strong defender and a goalie.

Ekholm is cooked anyway… Edmonton needed another legit defender and A GOALIE! Walman isn’t it, Frederic isn’t it and we all know Skinner and Pickard aren’t it. They paid a premium price for a guy like Walman who they didn’t need. Edmonton would’ve been better served getting a guy like Carlo, not flashy but he blocks a lot of shots and clears the crease.

He was good before injuries started piling up this season. He was the only with the smarts, ability and will to play strong defense. Agree on the trade target

He was and is to them what Muzzin was to us.
An amazing defender they desperately needed but because of the game he plays there are a tonne of miles on his body

There is zero excuse for your team to drop this far as Edmonton has done with Ekholm out… goes to show either they have major depth issues, their guys aren’t as good as McDavid covers for them or their goaltending has completely come back to the mean. Or a combo of all of it. Ekholm is important but my goodness they look like shit

He still had 19 goals this year and draws a bunch of penalties by being a huge troll. Not terrible for a 4th liner.
Plus you have to love seeing him lose in the finals with a different team almost every year.

He just needed to go to a new team this year. Losing in the finals only works when he changes teams

Eh Perry is still a really solid fourth liner, out of all their junk signings he was the least of their problems. It's the fact that they let Foegele walk and lost Holloway and McLeod while spending their money on Henrique, Janmark, Brown, Arvidsson, Jeff Skinner, picking up Kapanen from waivers etc. Losers all around

So far, every team that was down 2-0 has managed to make it a series by winning game 3 to make it 2-1. The only exception is Ottawa (GLG) and Tampa who’s game 3 is tomorrow afternoon.

But if you go read the Sens board at least half of the are convinced they have been the better team in every game.
The refs stole the 1st game and we were just luck in the 2nd and 3rd.

They really can’t grasp the concept of score effects.

Dumb challenge aside, we saw the old Kings in the 3rd when they tried to sit back and do nothing at all. Awful game plan against McDrai.

Everyone is focusing on EDM's G issues, but Kuemper has been almost as bad.
