He’s almost surely washed. I wish him luck but it’s unlikely we see him get beyond a PTO.

That being said, I hope he proves me wrong. Lots of teams could use a proven winner and leader in their room. I could see a team like the Ducks being a darkhorse contender to give him a shot.

I doubt a player like that wants to go threw the PTO process. He’ll likely get a contract off of reputation and he’ll either sink or swim.

As a Blackhawk fan I really hope it works for him (just not in Chicago) but I’m thinking more 3rd line C … even 4th. Hopefully for him he’s still got his face off skills.

It's not typically good for your game to take several years off in your mid thirties and go sit in a cave in the himilayas eating psychedelic bird poop. I think his foot speed will be, let's say, limiting.

Im sure also, but weve watched Landeskog do it from serious injury. Toews has been dealing with fake vaccine side effects.

Get his ass in the gym and if he's 70% of what he was on a bad 2020+ blackhawks teams recently, he can handle a 3C assignment.
