F*ck cancer - RIP Fugu and Buffaloed
After the Gaudreau tragedy, what a season for Columbus. They have some bright young pieces there
I do. I don't want them to win the cup, and I don't want them going deeper than us but I'm not worried about either scenario. Another Canadian team in the playoffs is good, Leaf/Habs drama is good, and there is a microscopic chance that we'll get to play them in round 3 which would be amazing. Can't Carolina just turn it on for a bit? Nobody wants to see the f***in' Habs in the playoffs.
How could you even dream that to be a good idea? Nothing good can come from them being in the playoffs. It’s bad enough that they’re in the NHLI do. I grew up with the Toronto/Montral rivalry which is historic, and I would love for that to be a thing again. The existence of this rivalry alone is enough to make me happy that Montreal is in the NHL. Rivalries add so much flavor and excitement to hockey, especially the playoffs, how can you view this as a bad thing? How could you even dream that to be a good idea? I don’t really care either way. And it’s CBJ fault for putting themselves in this position. But it does kind of suck to be kicked out of the playoffs because a team rests all their stars.
With Miro out they already would have it tough with Colorado.Jason Robertson was injured in game 82 vs Nashville tonight. Ouch.
I grew up having to watch them too and I can’t think of a reason why it’s good to have them in the playoffs. I’ll take Boston, Tampa, Ottawa rivalries, and hopefully one day Detroit and Buffalo can get their acts together.I grew up with the Toronto/Montral rivalry which is historic, and I would love for that to be a thing again. They really did that? I mean they're great at doing the ceremony thing but still, LOLOLOLOL.Who tf has an on ice ceremony after clinching a playoff spot. What a Montreal thing to do.
You know I totally get being excited making the playoffs and fans have every right to be excited but last night was overkill lol holy shit they acted like they won a round.Who tf has an on ice ceremony after clinching a playoff spot. What a Montreal thing to do.
The more Canadian teams that make the playoffs the better so far as I'm concerned.
It increases the chances of one of them winning. I'm Canadian first, Ontarionian second, and Torontonian third. So once the Leafs are eliminated I just jump on whatever teams from Canada are still playing.
I'm not so married to my favourite team that I can't celebrate the success of others.
Florida and Tampa are enemies number one and two for this fan. They should be for all Leafs Nation. I'd much rather lose to Ottawa or Montreal than to either of the two tax free state teams.
I absolutely despise them for their success.
The Leafs will make it to the third round bouyed by outstanding goaltending. The East will be Carolina vs Toronto with the Hurricanes advancing to the finals. The West will be Winnipeg vs Oilers with Winnipeg advancing.
Winnipeg wins the Stanley Cup and Helleybuck takes home the Conn Smythe.
It's crazy. You know as much as we talk on here about our future and trading picks etc. at least we’re not the Vancouver Canucks. They are stuck in no man’s land, going to lose Boeser to free agency, they don’t have much going for them. They gotta figure out what to do with Demko, they gotta get Pettersson back to his old ways. It’s a shit show lol
Your post make sense, but to be completely honest, I'm too much of a petty dullard to grasp a higher-order concept such as "celebrating the success of others".The more Canadian teams that make the playoffs the better so far as I'm concerned.

This forum and Reddit aside, the vast majority of Leafs fans will either not care once the Leafs are eliminated or cheer for the remaining Canadian teams with varying levels of passionI grew up having to watch them too and I can’t think of a reason why it’s good to have them in the playoffs. They need 1 winger and they can pay $13mm a year. It's crazy.
Going from Petey, JT and Horvat to a lousy Petey and possibly no Boeser in 2 years is awful.
The only good news is that they have solidified the backend.
