The more I think about it, the more I think JT Miller is the guy for the Leafs.

He sure as hell would cause some emotion to come out in the dressing room. Plus he will still be good for the next few years

I don't see Treliving making that big of a deal. I assume Vancouver would want some real roster players in return, not just Robertson and a draft pick.

I agree. I don't see them being involved at all.

He would I assume solve their 2C problem though. Tavares could be the 3C and that would be a position of strength.

Morgs would almost certainly have to go the other way to even out the money and that would just open up a new problem

Battle for the Eastern Wildcard is heating up. Sorry Kyle, enjoy another losing season.

If the season ended now, Boston out of the playoffs. Ottawa and Montreal in... times certainly are changing.
except it doesnt, and they likely both fall short. Rangers will move up, and likely Boston does also, unless they do something strange. the Jackets are also much better than they are given credit for, and with their size, can be a playoff nightmare. I would not want to play them in the 1st round

I think my biggest worry at this point is the Rangers pulling their head out of their ass. It would be the most Leaf thing in the world to finally win the division and end up with a surging Rangers team with Shesterkyin in net as a wildcard team lol

As a battered and bruised Leaf fan of many decades, I see pitfalls EVERYWHERE in that first round - including a surging NYR, a hyped up Ottawa team, a historically lucky hab team, a historically unbeatable Bruins PO team. On and on and on. Regardless of how good we have looked this season (and we have looked great on many occasions) I will never rest easy or not be a nervous wreck.

No it doesn't end now... Rangers likely do move up, but I don't know about Boston or Columbus. I think it's going to be close though for all the teams. Lightning are pretty tight with that group too, and a bad streak and they are out.

It's going to be an interesting race for sure though.

I'm hoping Ottawa misses the playoffs again, ditto for Montreal. Let them hope for another year. Tkachuk's NMC will kick in soon. If Ottawa fails again, things could interesting this summer.

Both NYR and CBJ would be a tough first round oppenent.

Normally I would agree on the Rangers, but the way that team went completely sideways this season is fishy as can be. Something is not right there, despite their recent better run.

Pens fans are getting pretty antsy in the Karlsson speculation thread. This dream of trading him without something heavy going back the other way is hilarious.

Watched Canucks last night.

Not sure I'd give up much for Miller, but maybe it is because the entire teams looks out of sync.

Could be coaching, his time has dropped from around 21 minutes a night to 18 this year.

They have to do something there, but I just don't see Miller being headed to the Leafs anytime soon.

He'll be 32 in March, contract run until he is 37.
