Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

It's like he doesn't learn from his mistakes. He did so much damage in such a short space of time while being the Leafs GM, there was just no way he (or his successor) can recover in time.
Crosby, Malkin and Letang also all wanted to come back and have Sullivan as their coach. Dubas was told by FSG there would be no rebuild but his moves to retool around those 3 have been very questionable.

Crosby and Malkin only have a combined 20 goals this season and are a collective -37 as well. Pens top line is a combined -57!

Problem they have is promising Crosby there would be no full rebuild and he chose to go down with the ship by signing his 2 year deal that starts next season.

They have the worst GAA in the entire league with the third worst goal differential.

Next year that core will be 38, 39 and 38 years old.

Malkin and Letang look cooked and Crosby has already started to regress this season.

Would Morgs be the starting point if the Leafs were to go after JT Miller?

Would Miller become the 2nd line C?

Bruins 🤡 down 3-2 after two against the Sharks.
Pasta starting to heat up with #22, but might be too little too late.

lol yup, of course that was gonna be more than Matthews. Probably tacked on an extra for the elbow

Leafs getting no respect in Power Rankings. TSN has them 15th!!?

It was an analytical power rankings. In short, the Leafs have won a lot on the back of top goaltending, which is typically not sustainable per them. They also have a iffy PP and inconsistent shot generation/goal scoring 5 on 5.
