I'm usually against the leaguewide recycling of old coaches, but it in this case I like Laviolette. Washington's roster was trash and he had them in a playoff spot until the injury issues were insurmountable. He's proven he can take talented teams far and Rangers have a talented team.

San Diego Avalanche has a nice ring to it.

I knowz jokez... but Avs and Nuggets are tied to Denver until 2040.

San Diego though is a prime market for either league. 2nd largest market with only one of the big 4 (Montreal is the biggest).

"The California Department of Fish and Game estimates the California coyote population at 250,000. San Diego is likely home to tens of thousands."

People like to rip Dubas and chatter will be made about it... but people really liked working for Dubas. Including Spezza. This won't be the last. Especially as some contracts expire in 2024 and 2025.
Yeah I don’t see the problem here.

Will be interesting to see how he approaches the game from a GM-type point of view. Didn't really expect him to go the management route to be honest though, but good on him for doing it and getting experience.

Also, nice little summer boost for Calgary fan's morale.
