So boring, my 3 year old could have designed something better.
Why would you register a chest stripe wordmark and not use it?
Meh, we knew they were going with a boring-ass look, much akin to the entire PWHL. And really, that's fine, but then the onus is then to come up with a look and name that will truly excite the fans. In other words, you better f***ing get it right if you're gonna take this long.
I just hope it's not like it was with the Redskins, who kept "Washington Football Team" for two f***ing years and then picked the most boring, generic name possible, and uniforms/logos that actually looked WORSE than when they were WFT.
Should have gone with Mammoth. That name and possible jersey/mascot had potential to be amazing day 1.
Naw, f*** that. Don't be rippin' off the two-time champion Colorado Mammoth. Come up with your own shit.
Years back, my attorney and accountant purchased a minor-league baseball team. They did the same name contest as Utah and many other teams. They picked Sandgnat, which is an incredibly annoying little bug - like a mosquito but with a far worse attitude. I wondered why they would choose the absolute nemesis of all Savannahians. Their reply? About 50% of their net profit came from merchandise sales, and a cartoonish bug sold a ton of merchandise.I still think the right move was to go with Utah Swarm and call their stadium the Hive.
Just not sure how to make a logo of a swarm that looks cool and modern. But the name would be perfect for a high pressure entertaining system. But at the end of the day, it's neither my circus nor my monkeys.
Pfffffft, I care more about a local lacrosse team than I do some hockey club I will be rooting against in most scenarios. No one cares about Lacrosse. Give the Mammoth an upgrade into a 2nd tier sports league like the NHL and they'll flourish.
Our local barn houses an Olympic sheet of ice for our University team to play on. I think they are one of the few NCAA teams to play on Olympic sized ice.Pfffffft, I care more about a local lacrosse team than I do some hockey club I will be rooting against in most scenarios.
These are temp jerseys, not too hard to understand that. Actually, it's the jersey stolen from the Winnipeg Ice via the WHL.So boring, my 3 year old could have designed something better.
That might be 100% true, but you're just one person in a galaxy of a trillion stars in a universe of quadzillmillionbillion stars.Pfffffft, I care more about a local lacrosse team than I do some hockey club I will be rooting against in most scenarios.
Yeah, I like indoor lacrosse, can't stand indoor football. Our local barn houses an Olympic sheet of ice for our University team to play on. I think they are one of the few NCAA teams to play on Olympic sized ice.
Anyways, a decade or so ago there was a failed attempt at one of those indoor arena football leagues and Fairbanks got one for a couple of years. It was alright, but I didn't care for football on a smaller field. Field Lacrosse, doesn't really capture me but indoor lacrosse does. I think the sport does better in a smaller environment. I would legit watch more of it if available. I'd love for Fairbanks to get a team.
