The league is more fun with guys like McIlrath in it.
As an aside i always thought this was a scheduling fail. I'm sure they would have sold even more tickets to Oilers fans wanting to make the trip to Calgary to see the Condors in person if the games were on a weekend rather than a random Tuesday and Wednesday in November.
We did during that 2005 lockout. Road RunnersI really wish we had our AHL team in Edmonton as well. I would go to a ton of games.

Was there on a lot of nights as well getting my hockey fix on and seeing Torres and Stoll playing at the level. Think I appreciated them more just seeing them in that context. There were decent crowds, but comfortable room and affordable tickets.I went to a bunch of those as well. That was fun, barn was pretty full on a lot of nights.
Mainly because they are horrible.Same but i think the Edmonton market is oversaturated with hockey. I went to an Oil Kings a few weeks ago and there was maybe 2000 people there.
Sad to hear that actually. Wasn't aware it had gone down so much again. One of the problems seems to be how many people are getting free or locost access to Oilers tickets whether it be from companies, communities etc. Free tickets to Oilers just seems like such a thing now that people get those instead of going to Oil Kings. I don't know where all these giveaways or hand downs are coming from but just hearing about it all the time.Same but i think the Edmonton market is oversaturated with hockey. I went to an Oil Kings a few weeks ago and there was maybe 2000 people there.

I somewhat agree with being oversaturated, but I do like the benefit it would provide the Oiler organization.

I've asked this before but didn't get an answer. Been thinking about buying thT AHTV package. Is the strem shitty or Condors game garbage?Personally I don't really have much of an interest in the Oil Kings, but I would the AHL team because of the Oiler connection. I can't bring myself to watch the shitty AHL streams to watch Bakersfield consistently now, but I'd enjoy going to the rink a few times a month on a cheap ticket.
Only time I really bother with the Oil Kings is when they're either really good, or playing an opponent that has a top end prospect on it.
