@Guttersniped has already made my point better than I can re: Tage Thompson. I get that he shot 15% and 38 goals is probably not gonna happen again unless they build the PP around his shot or something but Buffalo isn't signing him just to score 38 goals or more every year. They need guys who can be effective top 6 centers and they can't find them in free agency. Also someone on the main board said Thompson's year was more of a breakout year than a fluke year which I think is an accurate characterization.

I am in favor of being more unique. Hence why I love the Devils’ green and reds. How many red jerseys do we need?!

Most of the expansion teams have done well with color scheme and logo’s. Even Nashville with those ugly yellow jerseys.

Sharks jerseys with light teal color scheme feels very baby blue Jets jersey.

That's their old jersey blue basically, just without black pants which is why I hate it, if they had black pants it would be better. Like this

I don't mind an ad patch or two, I just hope they don't end up looking like a NASCAR driver at some point.

That's the problem with starting this bulls***.

The narrative right now is "It's only one ad it's not a big deal!"

Then it's going to be "Only one more it's nothing!"

Just wait - in 4-5 years from now there are going to be multiple ads on the jerseys. Like 5+.

Soon there won't be a single thing left considered sacred enough to resist sponsorship from greedy, ubiquitous corporations. What a gross, quasi-dystopian culture we have allowed to develop.

Agreed.

At some point a line has to be drawn where you value certain things above money. Unfortunately, those at the top value money over everything - often times even over their families.

Only a few more years until they look like that one euro league (or is it all of them by now) that looks like corporations threw up all over them. Ugh. Just Terrible.

At that point, I doubt there will be anyone who gives a f*** what the underlying sweater looks like.
