Oh course he does... the guy I'm playing against in fantasy has him.6 point night for Tage Thompson, with a hat trick.
Vilardi with 2 more points , 13 in 11 games.
People round here thought he was a bust
I think some people thought he’d be a bust because he was never healthy, not because he was untalented.Vilardi with 2 more points , 13 in 11 games.

Yeah... similar to some think about Turcotte now.I think some people thought he’d be a bust because he was never healthy, not because he was untalented.

Prob the route we shoulda taken with guys like steel mahura comtois etcI was surprised that he went to the AHL last season. I don't know if that helped him or not but he's been good this season. No doubt about it.
Drysdale tooProb the route we shoulda taken with guys like steel mahura comtois etc

No point talking about something that isn't possible. It was NHL or OHL for McTavish, and he wasn't gonna be doing much learning in the O anyway.Maybe McTavish as well.
I'm not gonna do a whole diatribe, but watching McTavish with the Bulldogs was just him floating and waiting to put it in the net (which he obviously was capable of).View attachment 601683
They sent stankoven back lol look at his numbers.
He's floating here too.I'm not gonna do a whole diatribe, but watching McTavish with the Bulldogs was just him floating and waiting to put it in the net (which he obviously was capable of).
He'll learn better habits up here vs. the O. I'm sure he'd be putting up similar numbers, and (like Stankoven) without even having the benefit of facing a challenge.
At least here he's in danger of being "given a night off" because DE thinks he's "young" and "getting used to the pace".He's floating here too.
I mean what does not playing do for development? He can watch film and tape anytime. He needs the puck on his stick more to develop puck skills. Maybe something will click but all those McTavish Calder posters have seemingly disappeared. I'm sure they'll show up like they never left the second he scores a goal.At least here he's in danger of being "given a night off" because DE thinks he's "young" and "getting used to the pace".
Down there? There are absolutely no consequences for him being lazy. It'd just end up being what Marner did last game.
On balance, I still think it's better up here than down there. Obviously, the A's the best, but that's not an option. So we're stuck with a pretty sucky option.
What does playing against non-competition do for development? He can just go down there and put up 100+ points no problem.I mean what does not playing do for development? He can watch film and tape anytime.
He can work on his skating and puck skills instead of chasing the puck around every shift. Not saying I'd send him back right now but if thinks continue they way they are I rather not keep him in this nonsense. Don't let last game or these next couple against bottom feeders fool you we've seen what kind of team this is.What does playing against non-competition do for development? At least scratches will put some fire into him.
Oh, we'll still be bad, I don't disagree on that. Leafs monumentally choked that game away.He can work on his skating and puck skills instead of chasing the puck around every shift. Then you turn the game on and see the difference in impact.I'm not one of them, but he's a whopping 4 points behind Beniers.

I'm sure I'll see a 5 paragraph post about it whenever he scores.Never said otherwise, all I stated was a tangible fact.
