Ha. I wish this board had a clown of the decade award as you seem like the perfect circus leader with your history of opinions.

Starting with the famous 2012 - that the Kings will never win with Brown and Kopi.
I think you better check your facts. I was one of the biggest advocates of what Dean and the entire organization was doing in 2012, including with Kopitar and Brown.

I was calling for patience when many here wanted Lombardi's head on a platter.

Unlike the other poster, I don't want to decide. I respect one's right to free speech.

Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from criticism.

Society makes fun of flat earthers for holding inane beliefs. Are their rights being infringed upon because they get criticized? No. Are Provorov’s? Is he being detained by the US government for not wearing his Pride Jersey? Has he been fined by the league or even his own team? I know professionally aggrieved conservatives like to pretend that getting ratioed on Twitter is straight out of an Orwell novel, but nothing has actually happened here other than a dumb hockey player saying a dumb thing and paying the social consequences.

If the Flyers were doing a “victims of childhood marriage” warm up, and Provorov sat out for religious reasons because he was an Islamic fundamentalist, would you be defending him? No. You wouldn’t. You would be criticizing him along with the rest of us.

So stop pettifogging. This isn’t about freedom of speech. It’s about your culture war. The Pride Jersey warm up thing was nothing more than a virtue signally show of support for an objectively oppressed minority group. Yes, Provorov has every right to sit that out. And guess what? He’s going to get dragged for it in the media. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from criticism.

Really disappointing to see you regurgitate the most boiler plate, fallacious talk radio rhetoric in this thread.

Still waiting to hear your surely data driven argument as to why 2nd Amendment supporters deserve the same level of advocacy as LGBT, by the way.

The All-Star game suspension is about the league making money and for its sponsors.

Pride nights are about drawing in more fans to make more money. The inclusive part imho is a biproduct.

Big corporations like the NHL and its clubs are all about making money.
The very same reason why churches go against their bibles to bring in the masses. It’s all cash.

Of course the Sharks come back from 0-3 and win it 5-3 … now the Kings have to play a frustrated Stars team 😭 on a back to back to boot.

Looking at the updated standings with the Kings having these days off and other teams catching up to us in games played gives us a clearer look at where we stand in the division.

Seattle still having 2 games at hand sucks, but they've lost 2 in a row after winning 8. Edmonton has won 4 in a row and they've got Kane back, but we still have 3 points on them. Calgary just seems to be off this year. Even Vegas is still within our grasps.

We've set ourselves up pretty well, but I think we are just as likely to catch Vegas as we are slipping and dropping behind the Oil as long as the goaltending remains consistent.

The Kings goal differential doesn't lie, as that stat has been an indicator in the past of how teams will end up performing in the final standings. It is going to be a real struggle for the Kings to remain in 3rd place.

Ultimately, I see the Kings in a dog fight for a wild card playoff spot this season, possibly with Seattle, Minnesota and Nashville.

The good thing is their GD is much better over the last month. They're a +7 over that span.

It's really hard to predict what the hell is going to happen in the pacific. Nashville has a rough schedule in the 2nd half so they'll really have to earn it. Vegas and SJ have the toughest left in the pacific. The other 6 teams in the division are all in the bottom 10 of remaining schedule strength.

Yes, if the goaltending holds up, the Kings have a shot at making the playoffs.

While this is true, those early season blowout, plus that 6-0 loss has hurt them with that stat. they were even vs nj, now a -3, and the week before -8. In the end, they'll get into plus side of things.

Seattle, Vegas and LA all have long layoffs after the 29th. We really won't know how things shake out until Feb 10th when the games in hand will even up.

That's some grade A level bullshit, almost on my level.........

Imagine having the balls to judge people you disagree with and tell them what kind of person they are......f***ing amazing....

Cynically, I’d rather see peaceful celebrations vs violent protests for any divisive issue.
Absolutely, but I'm sure you see how none of that works either.

Throw rocks through a window in anger... "You're a thug"
Kneel for the anthem... "You sonofabitch"
Attempt to celebrate diversity... "Just stick to hockey"

The goal is always the same:
- Get back in the closet
- Go to the back of the bus
- Make yourself as small as possible
- Don't make a peep
- Don't make ME uncomfortable because I don't have the emotional intelligence to handle it
- In fact, why don't you just die

It's sad.

You have no idea of “what kind of person it makes you” and that thought pattern is what has us at each others throats, you decide for you and let others decide for themselves as long as neither one of you try to inflict it on others life’s, educate each other on your beliefs is fine but judging someone because they don’t believe what you believe is oxy moronic at best and hypocritical at worst……everyone is welcome unless you disagree with us and then it’s Orwell’s 1984 no free thoughts or speech , kaepernick was right to protest what he thought was wrong as was Valenuwavasp) was to come out from his team and stand for the anthem

Colorado and Nashville will make it interesting. Gonna be a dogfight.

LOL but not Pacific....but yea.....the whole weak division is a trope so they don't have to dig in, up until very recently LA hasn't played much of ANY pacific division teams....7 or 8 maybe out of 46 games..but they are where they are cuz...you know..."weak division"

There's some very good teams in the Western Conference that people are sleeping on
