Now the Leafs could get back to work in the off-season in preparation for a Cup run next season...re-sign Matthews and Nylander, and bring back the core 4...:sarcasm:

Vegas: We’re going to win the Cup in 6 years.
Leafs: We’re going to win a round in 6 years.

And both sides praised it.

I completely agree that Bobrovsky fell off...and facing a certain level/quality of opposition has a way of contributing to that. I'd say that Toronto made a stellar goalie in Vasilevskiy look human in Round 1.

Knights were a few feet from the goal on majority of their goals and mostly from the slot. Marners average shot distance was 40+' ....and his slot shot was 10% worse than the next Leaf. Any goalie would have great odds saving his shots. That's a guy that was playing 40% of the hickey game for the Leafs.

I personally think its ridiculously bad coaching (the activate the D is stupid)... And soft players.

Leafs core in the playoffs are getting dummied and instead of fighting back they stair at the refs and then laugh at their opponent, who just finished rag dolling them. Each of Tavares, Matthews and Marner have done this in each of the past few playoffs. It might be ok for one leader to do this...but not all three. Meanwhile Pietrangelo was suspended once and almost a second time.

Florida dummied the Leafs and Vegas dummied Florida. Just an indication of just how far from being a stanley cup team the Leafs are. Leafs didn't look good vs the worst Tampa team in year's, they got dummied vs Florida...and I'm pretty sure they would've been best by Carolina and very easily by Vegas.

This team probably needs more than just a minor tweak.

Korpisalo sucked mostly because Andersen just needed to not give up crap goals at the worst time and we would have been fine. Korpisalo stood on his head against Tampa too though... Vasilevsky was just that much better.

Bobrovsky did the same thing against Carolina and Boston so at least it wasn't only us, but he was beatable.

That is ultimately what sucks. These guys were beatable. We were getting chances on them and outplaying the other team more often than not. Really the one time we didn't was the series we ultimately won.
