LoL. He’s trying to win, of course they’re going to try knock the goalie over in that scrum.
The game within the game. They did it to the Leafs after losing game #4. They know they have free shot at their opponents, and they take it. Still think the game should not end on a penalty. Vegas should have been forced to playout that 2-minute minor Petro took with 17 seconds left.

Crazy the league just lets Florida do this shit at the end of every game theyre losing without any punishment lol.

Mickey mouse league.
Pretty standard in the finals in that situation. This is part of what Shannahan was talking about when he said each round gets tougher. I love the passion.

Sorry, meant Rats lol

Seems like they're sore losers. Montour buries a guy well after the whistle and of course Bennett and Tkachuk try to grab everyone in sight. Tkachuk hacking and whacking even after the ref separated them
Don’t you want sore losers, or the Matthews Marner’s and Nylander who don’t have that skill set?
Seems like every year there are sore losers including the Leafs in the Burns and Quinn era.

That's why Dubas and Shanny and their vision of Nic Petan's running around scoring and lifting the cup were flawed. This, unfortunately is the way they allow teams to play in the playoffs and until it is removed from the game, you will not have the most skilled team winning it but the team willing to do anything will win. I know Vegas are not goons like FLA...but they don't shy away as much as we do. It sucks...but it's reality.

It’s a good reality.

Why would you want the most skilled team to win? The most skilled team shouldn’t win unless they also do all the other stuff. That’s what makes the game exciting - the mixing of skill and physicality.

Yes, dont hate the player, hate the game. Its also why saying shit like "our PP is our weapon" is so stupid because you never know how the game is going to be called and in the end its likely even opportunities.

Semi related but Reddit looks like it's going down the loo so I assume we'll see an influx of users?

What's the point of that, where's the repercussion? Maybe those penalties should carry into game 5.
Goon playoff hockey…. NHL created this by changing the rules in playoffs. Refs just pull out the notepad and look the other way. Unless it’s Bunting or Kadri in leaf jerseys then it’s a automatic 3 games

Fans call all that crap “heart” when in fact it’s just dirty hockey and most players just hide behind all their armour and whine.

wow really? is it just the leafs or other team threads as well?
Many subreddits all across reddit are closing up shop in protest to reddit's new API policies. Some subreddits will go dark for 48 hours, so are going out indefinitely. This includes some of the biggest subreddits like r/videos, r/funny, r/music, r/todayilearned, r/gaming, etc.

r/hockey is set to go dark for 48 hours, and r/leafs is shutting down indefinitely

wow. Reddit finally gave into costing the API huh? I was wondering how the heck are they continuing to work with their old business models.

Interesting indeed !

They want 20m for their api. They're charging an extreme amount compared to other similar services. They're doing this to completely kill all of the 3rd party apps to force all users to their own shitty app where they can control more of what you see.

Their ceo has already been exposed for lying about what 3rd party app creators have been wanting/doing to reddit (this is their attempt to try and justify the change). 3rd party apps have tried to be reasonable and talk to reddit about it but they want nothing to do with it.

For me, my time on reddit will drastically decrease at the end of the month when this goes through because I can't stand their awful app and what they're doing. I've used a 3rd party reddit app for probably almost a decade at this point.

Another thing with this change, mods use reddit api for various bots to help make their work easier. This is a big reason why the leafs sub is deciding to completely close indefinitely.

Interesting. I had a feeling Reddit will go this route after Twitter changed its API rules too. Would be interesting to see what happens; if reddit loses a bunch of users i wonder how their revenue stream is going to be able to sustain the current framework.

I still get confused how does HF run free of cost; I wonder how much "advertisement" revenue pays for the server (cloud?) usage. Microsoft is even a bigger penny pincher with cloud usage
